C6 Focus Knob Colors. Flat Black Sample Up! Opinions?

Flat Black Knob


I am starting to take orders now. Please post quantity and color here:

Hey guys. I was originally going to sort of orchestrate a group buy for custom C6 focus knobs, but instead I am considering just taking this poll to figure out the most popluar color, and produce a batch of those knobs! Here are some cad models of the knob:

(Colors may look a bit different in person, it is quite difficult to get a picture that actually matches the color well)

Orange cause i love that color. I think it would look sweet with a black host.

This is a tough one. I prefer all black laser including the focus adapter !

Blacked-out does have a nice look. I personally would want mine the color that the laser is. Especially if I had multiple C6's with different wavelengths.

I normally don't like red, but that red focus adaptor in the renderings really make it stand out.

I agree, It would look good black, Provided you could get it exactly the sane as the black on the C6.

I do quite like the red as well.

Ya, that may be a bit tough. We'll find out through some testing. So far that seems to be the most popular. I won't batch any of these though until at least 25 people vote for a particular color.

If I did them gold, it would likely be anodized not plated.

I like black the most but I'd be in for silver, gold or red as well, as long as the price is low.

Silver or black.

Or, if someone has more than a few wavelengths then the same color the laser is.

The price for these would be $20. For all the time spent to make one of these, that is a low price.

I'm thinking about making 30 of them, 10 red, 10 blue, and 10 black. I can't do gold plating, and I am unsure how trying to anodize a gold color would go.

I understand it wouldn't be worth your time selling for less but I'm into host looks to pay that much either

This My goal is to eventually have a 405, 445, 532 (or maybe a ~520 diode) and a 650/635 in c6 hosts and would love purple, blue, green, and red ends. otherwise I chose black.

Edit: are you CNCing these? how about a little inset in each of the 6 "wings" for tritium vials? anodize them black and then put trit corresponding to the laser color?

These are not being CNC'ed. All hand-turned and milled. Batch processing and proper fixturing allows them to be made quicker though.

For that price, It's a steal... I'll end up buying some of these..
