Blue laser 74W NUBM35 Portabl?

Its much better that way. I don't have to run wires across the lenses :p or around the array.

Yeah I guess I gotta turn that poti up. They never told me anything though. Will put an amp meter on just in case. 1

Hey Boris, I ordered one of these nubb13t to try out, the initial spacing between each beam center is 1.25mm where the nubm35 is 2.4mm and the nubm31 is 3.5mm, I will make a post when I get it and post a pic of what the alignment looks like.
If somehow the alignment is reasonably good, then knife edging a few could be fun.

Great. I'll wait for you to share how it is when you get it. I am these days waiting to receive the new NUBM35, I hope it works because they tested it beforehand. You know what the case was with the previous one.

Just got a nubb13, it's a lot smaller, only 1.25mm from beam center to center. :)

The beams are closer together to start, but the divergence and the spread is no better than one row from the nubm35's
The focal length of the gang lenses on the nubb13 appear to be shorter which makes sense as it's a thinner package as well as being smaller overall.

The spot on the left is the nubb13 and on the right is one row of 7 from a nubm35 distance is about 10 feet.

I received the new laser array today. Fortunately, everything worked perfectly without any problems. It is set to run at 4A and definitely impressed me with its power compared to the previous one which was broken and only 6 diodes working

When setting the driver to 4A again I noticed that on start up it smoothly ramps up to 4A rather than hitting them directly. This is good for the diode because it happens to be kind of a soft start

So far both of my nubm35's are still working well with these drivers, it's best to buy bigger than you need based on Chinese ratings, otherwise they pop.

I was playing with a 3A 0.5-30V rated dc-dc board to power my nubb13 and when I got to 2.5A it popped, luckily the laser diode is still good.

Yes, definitely not all drivers work well. The one we use for NUBM35 has been proven to work well. It has the same driver, but a smaller 250W. You can use it for nubb13.

I measured the voltage from the driver to ground. It showed exactly 56.7V. I don't know if this is normal. That is, it currently operates at 57V and 4A. Each diode consumes 4V voltage and 4A current.

I saw that this was normal. So these 57V are enough

With magnet 👍

3.5A is the max on paper with a good heat sink to get the rated 20,000 hours lifespan, now the diodes will take 5A but I wouldn't push them that hard because they are so close together, not without TEC active cooling, plus you would get diminishing returns as heat builds up quickly, so at 4.0A you may not get 20,000 hours but it's a trade off for max output.

I won't raise more than 4A. At 4A the laser works great and is very powerful. I'm even still amazed at his power. Even if I asked for 10,000 hours, I would never reach them. This is for playing with it though, not working with it. Things worked out very well with this lens. I made a video with her

This thing cuts through some pretty thick sheet metal 😄
