I agree completely! I love that color....I just did the monthly burn on my argon...What a great color. I haven't been able to get the color on film like these photo's though! Great!

Nice pictures. 473nm is really true blue. The others are much like greenish blue ( turquoise ) and voilet-blue.

Here's 473nm, 445nm, 405nm.

on the purpleness of the 445nm in DLMB's pics, keep in mind that not all cameras see it properly. My kodak can't really tell the difference between 445 and 405. They both look exactly the same in pics with it. This pic was taken with a nikon coolpix somethingerrather. A crappy camera with good color rendition.

Those are some nice pics! I too have a 473 and a 445 and the colors are amazing... as for the argon... hmm, now I want an argon... Next thing to buy perhaps. Or maybe at least the DPSS 488nm lasers, I hear argon lasers need a ton of power.

That they do, and some insane current. At max (very bad for the tube) my argon pulls just under 18 amps!
