Lol These people see it as a Religious Martyr. He is going to heaven as far as there concerned and the fact that he died for the cause as it were, They will be more embolden. He wasn't a Official Leader, he was just one of the Big Guys they liked. It will bring more into it instead of make any Quit.

EDIT: @lazeerer You Can't Kill a Idea. Do you Honestly Believe you could Kill them All... as it were? This will be a On going issue with out a True End.

It was a figure of Speech.;)

Yes you are correct it will be an on going thing. I have been there and its not a nice place. The crap you see in person their is different then you see and hear on the News.

In my eyes we are after something else. Oil.

I am into the conspiracy a bit. But I don't care whether the government was behind it, we're only there for oil or not. I just hope the bastard is "dead."

I just wish I could get the real account from someone in that operation. The brave spec ops don't get credit it always goes to someone else, or so
your told in your debriefs.

they're talking about how military outposts as well as security measures here are on pretty damn high alert right now in case of retaliation.

Thats what I'm talking about. Hear the real description of what went on, not what Mr. Anchorman says on the picture box.

From the TV news it sounds like there are a million people out all across the country here with american flags celabrating his death.
I think we can be sure this isn't the end and need to be on gaurd :scowl:

Yes, I felt a bit uneasy at the demonstrations in front of the White House, and in Times Square. They reminded me of the celebrations around the Middle East after 9/11. I did have a feeling that as the world's remaining superpower, that there's supposed to be a sense of "being the grown-up" etc.

However, I have to keep in mind what the overall point of terrorism/asymmetrical warfare is. It's to bend the political will of a larger, stronger opponent to your own.

The news clips of people celebrating the news of OBL's demise will probably be played in the Middle East, and that will give them a rather visceral understanding that 9/11 accomplished nothing, if in fact the opposite.

In the Middle (militant) Eastern/Muslim/Arab/Persian culture, negotiations and appeasement are seen as weakness to be exploited, and a time to press the attack. Restraint on our part does not make us any less the infidel to be killed. Right now, overwhelming force is the only meaningful form of communication with them.

When you cannot garner respect, fear is the alternative.

"In other news Chuck Norris returns from vacation in Pakistan."

Saw this somewhere, found it amusing. On a serious note I think it's a good thing but I can't help but think sometimes the devil you know is better than the one you don't. Either way he got what was coming to him for a long time.

I find it strange when the US was hunting Sadam that they posted
pictures of his capture coming out of a hole in the ground like a rat....

But in Bin's case I haven't seen any proof of a capture or fatal shot.....
(if someone has seen any pics.... post them here or at least a link)

And why did they bury him at sea... was he hiding in a row boat.......
