I am very intrigued by the magnets in the fingers, it seems like it would be useful in life.
Only thing that I don't like about it is that the magnets will wear out over time, and MRI's are a no-go.
Still considering it, it would be amazing to be able to sense electromagnetic fields, and tell the difference between AC and DC by feeling it.

I found that quite interesting too but I guess I'll wait ten years before this becomes safe tested and lasts a life long.

Yeah - the only way to get it done at the moment is by a piercing specialist, and there is the risk of the body rejecting the magnets. They coat it in some sort of bio material to trick the body into thinking it's part of you, but even then it's not 100%

There's the PCB. Look at all that wasted space. Yuck. If that was going in me I would've made it MUCH smaller.

Yup much wasted space teh silkscreen is bigger than all components together haha and why using big trough hole terminals

Nice find :)

If it's open source someone could redesign it much much smaller to troll him
(free time planning hehe)

(but it could also be planned to make it so big maybe the size of the lipo or the induction loop left much free space in the box he implanted himself)

He isn't exactly a cyborg yet but I think experiments like this can be useful and things can be learned from it but that thing is way too big! And for what it does it didn't need to be an implant.
