FTR, the Larry DFW lenses are for either red or Blu-ray (not green, in case anyone misconstrued that post) ....
As we speak I am going through a mess of modules from different suppliers (I'm trying to establish a decent supplier and get a nice quantity price) - most of them right in that 100-120mW range, and I've noticed that one of the SXD modules I have that reads a rock-solid 96-100mW as well as having one of the thinnest, tightest beams I've seen will NOT light a red match at a foot, yet another module from Rayfoss that reads 85-90mW and has a "so-so" beam profile lights them instantly...Weird.
(And before anyone pulls the "IR" card, they're being measured on a thermopile-based LPM, so the readings include IR)
I'm wondering if the difference is in how much the IR leakage is collimated, if it's tight with the beam then it should help burn, but if it scatters then not so much, Hmmmm....
