I'm sorry guys, I got a little slap on the wrist for going a little too far with a 'retail' seller...

It was a 3-day ban, it's over... I'm still here, nothing's changed :P

I have 18 boosts assembled and ready to SET + test... and ship. Unfortunately I have 2 more 12h night shifts at the casino, and then I have a week off. This means I will finish every outstanding order at the latest, on wednesday.

I'm very sorry for disappearing for a few days, I'll try and be a little more responsible next time :P

Every remaining shipment except for 1 - user who sent me Paypal without me having a clue who they are, have been shipped out this morning. Sorry, I took a 8h nap after I came home and didn't update right away, but everything's on the way.

Mine arrived today! Looks like all is perfect and I'm blown away that this work was done with an iron and not a reflow oven. Jeebus. I have tested it and it works as stated pumping out 1260mA, maybe my batteries had more charge than his. Thanks for the product, it works fantastic, I can't wait to get a m-140 and a host to throw 'em in

What amazes me is that after assembling over 40, Ive only managed to kill two mosfets... I wanna know if the packaging was sufficient to keep it safe...was the enveloppe damaged at all?

Yup, shipped out earlier today. To answer your pm these are R6R9 models and dont have OVP as stated in the first post.

The small size and weight allows me to ship these via oversized lettermail...which goes thru the same system as your bills and birthday cards...which is usually quite a bit faster than any "cheap" parcel service... And allows me to keep shipping prices very low. Otherwise it would be like 8-9$ to the usa and 10-12$ intl.

Are the mosfets particularly susceptible to killing? How did you kill them?

I ask because I am going to be trying to build a few of these things for myself with a soldering iron... any tips would be GREATLY appreciated.

Packaging was more than sufficient to keep it alive. The cardboard surrounding the package and the envelope itself stood up to my father's careless cutting open (he saw it and didn't know it was for me, and cut it open rather carelessly). No problems whatsoever and I would be surprised to hear otherwise.

I most likely killed em by leaving the iron on them for too long, having 6 pins to solder on em. Have no clue if they're particularly sensitive or what, but the end result was a direct short to ground, my battery holder smoking, and the mosfet shooting out smoke and swelling up... For the last 30 or so that I built, I build about 12-18 boards at once, and solder one pin at a time on each of the 18 mosfets giving them plenty of time to cool before doing the other pin. It should never take more than 2 or 3 seconds of contact with your iron.

My tips would be a good iron, a clean, fine tip, and some good small dia. solder. Small tweezers, a steady hand, and some practice with spare parts on a piece of broken electronics if you need to practice a little technique.

That would be me. I didn't received my three drivers. :o
I wasn't realizing that it is about my order. I thought PP would take care of the shipping address.
