It just made me realize that my parents ARE responsible and i cant take that risk on them, its a pretty big risk, and since i do this at cost, even lose money, i really cant afford to take the risk and/or pay fines, although i do get tips  ;) (thx Andrew)

How is it a big risk?

It is simply very fake and if it WAS the FDA they wouldn't give a fucking ***k cause, what about ledshoppe, focalprice and skylasers your a tiny fish in a big pond, the FDA are trying the catch the big fish not tiny fish like you, you are no threat to them, right now there proberly trying to stop websites like focalprice and ledshoppe from sending lasers to the US they already did somthing like that to DX.

Anyways the FDA is like the president, would he send you a PERSONAL E-mail with TONS of spelling mistakes about a HUGE subject?

I think not.

Acually, the FDA ad nothing to do with DX lasers. It's just because of Paypal. :P

Well I wouldn't go that far John. OEM Laser doesn't even sell lasers to enthusiasts. About the only lasers we've sold to hobbyists are overstock items that we end up with every now and again. The other guys do provide lasers to hobbyists but these are systems that are usually much more powerful and/or commercially constructed. Those are really a different class of laser. I doubt very much that homebuilt systems impact any of the distributor companies bottom lines.

This looks really fake to me, there are plenty of typos and errors that stand out even with just a quick scan over. I don't think that the person BS'ing you realizes the seriousness of impersonating an FDA employee.

^ What he said........
They have better things to do, with budget cuts. There are much more serious issues for them to concentrate on.

this could all be FAKE. it doesn't matter if the senders email address is real or not. you can change the email header From field to make it say anything you want(or from whoever you want.) wanna try it? give me an email address and i will send you an email from anyone you want (NOT goverment. still the same process, but im not going to commit forgery or impersonation of a goverment employee) in OLD email systems and most new you can still do a nslookup for the mail server and then telent into the mail server on port 25 , and send the email that way. im not saying that it is fake but it would be easy for a 12 year old kid to do. (im not 12 by the way. i am an IT Systems Administrator for a large local company that maintains other company's networks for them.) anyways just a thought. don't believe everything you see.
