Don't you mean "ver-sigh" :na:There is a town in the USA named Versailles, I have heard yanks pronounced this Ver-sails... Not ver-say. What do the French think of this I wonder?
Hey My Wife is a Southern Canadian (She's from Boston), and I have no idea what form of English They Speak!!!!
Well let's see. This is about four days lectures (for the overview). Class meets for 110 minutes a day. That's 440 minutes for the lectures. I speak, on average, about 135 words a minute in lecture mode.
440 min. x 135 WPM = 59,400 words total for the lectures. :wtf:
This posting to this point ** is about 40 words
59,400/40 = 1,485
In order to type this info out, this post would have to be about 1,485 times longer than the first part of this post
I think not.
Come enroll in the class, and bring a notepad and a recording device :san:
Peace,
dave
**EDIT** The first part of this post is about 1.5 inches long. 1,485 x 1.5 = 2,227.5 inches At 12 inches per foot, this posting would be 185 feet long (on my screen) Somebody's gonna have to get another monitor
Well actually it appears to be yet another US bastardisation of the English language
Right, I'm off for a cup of tea, and game of cricket in the grounds of my castle.

Pisses my wife off everytime I pronounce genre. If they wanted it to be pronounced jjohn-rah, they shoulda spelled it like that.

When I first came here, this was all swamp. Everyone said I was daft to build a castle on a swamp, but I built in all the same, just to show them. It sank into the swamp. So I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So I built a third. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed up. And that's what you're going to get, Lad, the strongest castle in all of England.
