You're free to shoot back, and troll was probably a bit harsh, yes...but it's a funny picture, hahaha.

But still, you're being too harsh.

I don't get it...You get what you pay for.......I guess in your point of view...wicked lasers is the best company ever

Really? Putting words in his mouth? That's pretty lame, and rather immature. I haven't done that since middle school, except to close friends when I was obviously joking around.

Elektrofreak, I've never thought about the many diverse needs that pcs must deal with concerning different hardware. I think your point is a very good one! Again, Ive never thought of that before....

@bearded galaxy: Its cool, he wasn't trying to throw words in my mouth. He never claimed I said wicked lasers was good, he was simply making a fair point, that's all.

In other news... I've finally got Win 7 installed! Time to experiment!

Thank you for that super video card...

let us know when all PC users have one!

Macs have had better default graphics for a long time anyways..

nice try though! :D jk jk

Haha don't worry iskor12!

This has been a good discussion so far! I learned quite a bit!

By productivity, I simply mean stuff like, Calendar, Mail, iMovie, iPhoto, iTunes... stuff like that.

Its not like this same stuff isn't available for PC users.. its just that macs come with it already installed!

I suppose Windows includes Photo Gallery, and Media Player and Movie Maker, but honestly... that stuff is weak sauce in my opinion.

iTunes beats out Media Player.... with ease.

iMovie beats out Movie maker for editing capabilities...

iPhoto has many more editing features and options than Photo Gallery.
Plus, iPhoto lets you directly upload photos to facebook, or any other online album..

Theres lots of great stuff like this available for Windows users too no doubt... its just that Mac users get it all included with OSX.

iLife is pretty amazing in my opinion..

Your point about RAM is very true... especially considering that RAM is so dirt cheap anymore...

Perhaps I should consider buying a nice PC to have OSX on...

Haha ok.... I admit. Quad Core beats out MANY things!

Hopefully I'll be able to do the same thing once I figure out how to appease Windows 7 enough to get it to install on my laptop...

:(

Well theres certainly a line drawn between getting ripped off, and getting a product you're satisfied with.

I have yet to meet a macbook owner, that doesn't love their macbook. For me, its about as simple as that.

Numbers aside, if the customer is not dissatisfied with your product, might as well get your profit from it!

Haha Wicked Lasers is not the best company for lasers out there. They may be expensive, but I hear that they have made some significant improvements to their designs.

You're not a troll! I'm not exactly sure where he pulled that one out of.... :\

I'm not troll feeding! I'm spending time doing one thing I love to do....

debunk misconceptions about OSX! lol

Well...I do admit that the software that comes pre-installed is better...hands down.:) I don't think that I was trying to argue that point....shoot, I agree with you.

My biggest thing that I have against Macs is just their range of available software. I know that you guys can run windows on your macs, but doesn't that defeat the purpose?

Another thing that I have against them is that....they are just now letting other companies make their hardware. This is something that they should have been doing for years....Basically, I mean...you can't upgrade your mac easily...sure you can add more ram, but what about your video card, processor, mother board....and so on. They force you to go out and spend another $1,300+ on a new computer.

(In my mind...this is just wrong.....It's like saying....Oh, well in order for you to get a turbo on your car....well...you might as well forget about doing that because you can't. Your just going to have to buy a new car. Do you get my point?)

I never once said that you where getting ripped off. For me, it's not worth it though.

Later,
Iskor12

That's just it though....at least we have a choice as to how good or what brand we want our video card to be.

Really? Putting words in his mouth? That's pretty lame, and rather immature. I haven't done that since middle school, except to close friends when I was obviously joking around.

What I said wasn't intended to offend. Really, I was hoping for the shock and laughter from people.
It was lame...and I guess immature, but if you think about it...it's true.

"You get what you paid for" is not a term that I will ever use, because in many cases, this isn't true.

That is the point that I was trying to get across.

I do suppose we all need the freedom to not need something, simply because its better, but because we may need something else.

Its just kinda hard for me to not love macs simply because I was Apply product trained last year, and ever since I felt like people needed to know more about them, because they really are full of surprises!

You're right though about the difficulties of upgrading hardware.

Naturally, any certified Apple technician can upgrade anything the user may choose to, but its not cheap. :(

One reason that this may be is most likely that Macs come in designer sizes, shapes and forms. Every Apple product is designed from ground up. A macbook for instance has hardware of its own that only it can use simply because of its size. This is the same case for regular macs. No point in upgrading a motherboard on a mac, because

1. You won't find a better one.

2. You won't find one that fits.

3. You won't find one that will work.

So in a sense yes, it is much more costly to upgrade a Mac...

good things there's not much that needs to be upgraded for the average user.

But then again, If I could find an internal Blu-ray drive that would universally be fit for my Macbook, I would go for it and upgrade, but no one makes them. :(

PC users DO have a wonderful advantage of having universal component sizes...

BLAST. lol

But... but.... o yeah?

Macs are a shiny silver!

:P

Oh, OK. It just didn't come across to me that way.

I've had Linux for a while. It's cool sometimes, but for a general purpose i'd prefer windows.

I think mac's are a joke. Its just a fashion statement...

I am a Linux and a Windows fan.....But one thing is for sure, Macs are no joke.

Although they are known for having dashing looks...they really do have some decent HP in them. I just don't like the larger than life price tag and the lack of gaming capabilities.

I guess I have no room to talk. I have an iPhone and I love it to death. My brother had a macbook. He literally couldn't put it on his lap because it got sooooo hot. I could see why too, there's no room for any cooling.....

Wait, you know you can just replace the screen, right? I dropped mine out of my car. The screen shattered, and my friend helped me replace it. It cost $20 to fix...
