Anybody interested in 6x Blu ray sleds 42$ ???

That is the same sled as in Amk's GB.
It is the GGW-H10N.
Yes indeed.
What would be a good estimate on mw, on what this laser diode can do ?

~200mW at 200mA

I think Dr.Lava's graph doesn't go as far because of the price of the diodes back then. They certainly seem to be able to withstand higher currents, and perhaps he or someone else will derive a larger range graph

So i was talkin to my supplier about the PHR-803T sleds and it happens i asked for the price and she said 42$. so i was like thats 2x the price. she then said it was a 6x Blu ray Burner Lens !!!
So i can get the 6x for around 42$ but i have to see about shipping.
Minimum order is 15 sleds.
Please Post any comments if this should be A good deal or what ?
Thanks
***** EDIT**** I just read that IgorT says that there is a long closed can diode in a 6x sled!

i am already runnig a GB for this... We do not want too many GB's of the same type going on... and read my post in response to ndrews. doing this will only increase the price everyone must pay in the long run.

I'm sorry amkdeath, while I appreciate your hosting GBs and stuff, your logic is flawed with respect to increasing the price of stuff in the long run. For one, if you're "suffering" competition via smallish group-buys to the extent that it puts you out of business, then you're not receiving discounts that are substantial enough to be valuable to the community over in the "long run." Certainly, if this were the case, you'd be able to undercut virtually any competition with your connections. Second, in the "long run" prices will go down irregardless of your earlier exclusive contacts with manufacturers, especially as availability goes up, more sources are willing to sell a product, and even as technology progresses. We've already seen this with the PHR-803Ts which have already dropped to sub-$20 levels, and it would've really sucked if we were stuck with the old $42 "exclusive" prices of before.

I don't begrudge you your profit; certainly, we all deserve compensation (and then some) for our hard work. I don't even begrudge you keeping your sources secret, as that's the "game" we all play to give ourselves advantages. However, if you think you should have exclusive rights to sell a product, especially on the basis of flawed logic, and let alone via a group buy system, you need to get real. The last things we need are price fixing and exclusive rights to plague our GBs.

I'm not in this for profit, i haz $$ i jus no haz reps >:(

If the price is within the same reasonableness as it is now including shipping, i'd be interested in at least one.

I dont think you read my post correctly. You got the Idea, just not the details. I do not wish to argue, as you are correct, small GB's should not do much damage. I do not disclose supplier information because: 1) no one has asked and 2) if you were to know, he would not sell to you anyways, as I am basically his US hub. He makes a profit by selling Stuff to me in large quantities, and then I host GB's for the community.

I am not saying I have exclusive rights, I am saying he is leeching off of my work. He even used the picture from my GB thread. the Exact same one. If he spent all of that time researching on where and how to find these cheap, he could have hosted his own information, and used his own work

however this might not make a difference to anybody, because the fact that these are available cheap is all that the community is interested in. The community includes me. so as the french say, "Laisse Beton". :)

amk
