All the stuff your local police confiscated from you.

If you refuse you risk being beaten and then charged with obstruction, resisting arrest, distributing the peace, assault, or what ever else the cop and DA come up with.

You can get beaten and charged with being a hippy?

On a serious note tho, I keep away from any interactions with the police. Apart from being pulled over and issued warnings twice, I have never had to deal with the cops, cuz I stay out of their way.

Its like in elementary school where you play that game "Sharks and Minnows"....the sharks are in the middle and you have get to the other side without bein caught. The best way to get there without bein caught is to just casually walk over. No fuss, no running, and the "sharks" don't give you a second glance. If you don't wanna get burned by their little game of law, don't look like ur playing. Stay off the radar, and you will never get eaten, my fellow "minnows". :na:

Don't worry, they won't....but you may find some mutated sea bass....in which case, RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN!!!!

I hate USA cops! They are worse then shit on my boot! I've never had a pig help me in any way! Cops are just a way for the state to collect $$$!

I wish more junkies would stick their aids infected needles into pigs! Cops should only go after violent crimes! If someone wants to destroy their own life let them! Protect and serve my skinny white trash ass!

Sorry for the langue! This topic hits a nerve!
You don't need to tell me this is a public fourm.

There are a few GOOD cops out in the world... I've just never met any!

About cops being tax collectors (through tickets and stuff) in my experience, this is 110% true. The PD where I used to live justified and paid for their existence by dealing out ridiculous traffic tickets. It would be like creating a whole new government agency with the sole purpose of collecting taxes for the sole purpose of running themselves for the sole purpose of collecting taxes etc. etc.

Voters love tickets and fines because they always assume they OTHER GUY will get nailed, and anyone who speaks out against it is obviously a nogoodnik who spends his days running down old ladies and small children :)

We got 4 new sheriffs in a town of 4000....
That is in addition to the 4 RCMP and 2 sheriffs we previously had.
I got "caught" making an "unsafe left turn" because 2 cops were talking at a green light they had failed to notice and I thought theirs was red.
The sheriff blatantly LIED and said he "had to apply his brakes very firmly" to keep from hitting my but he only started rolling ahead when I was almost out of his (oncoming) lane already.
I called him on his lie in the courtroom and he dropped it to a "section 115" I think. "failure to obey a traffic control device"
I had to work out in the bush and a 45 minute helicopter trip + a 3 hour drive to fight a $115 ticket wouldn't have been worth it so I just paid for the ticket and washed my hands of the whole crooked deal.
They are a revenue generating force that must justify their existence by writing tickets to peaceful, gentle people.
+1 - Cops found my stolen mountain bike 8 months after it was stolen
-1 - Cop gave me a ticket for "weaving between pedestrians" when I was walking my bike away from a bike rack.
-1 - Cop pulled me over because someone reported a bike "identical to mine" stolen even though my bike is custom, one of a kind with very identifiable paint job.
-1 - Cops harass me and a friend for "loitering" on a street in Calgary, a superior officer happened to drive by and tore a strip off him for doing so ^_^ (that might count as a +1)
-$4000 - Cop pulls me and a buddy over for speeding when another driver blocks us out in oncoming traffic while we were safely passing (at the speed limit) $2000 ticket apiece.
-1 - Cop lies about my driving practices and is willing to lie in court, that should be an automatic FIRE as far as I am concerned.
Moral of the list?
Cops cause more issues a lot more often than they solve 'em.

Today i went to the police station @ Koning Arthurlaan 38a to ask where my : YouTube - Dude, Where My Laser Pointers?
They told me that it is still in investigation because they don't know if it legal,... They told me that they have to phone the dude that has my laser. I told them is this dude a new police recrute, maybe you could send him back to school,... They told me that they will phone me when they have more news.

Its about your 1w 445nm right?

Nice storys:) i wowed everyone yesterday night when walking out of the cinema, to show the laser to some friends who were with me.
Still a bit careful...i have a special on the streets duty cycle applied to my lasers because i am still afraid of stopid cops. I never leave them on long:/

@Nanolaser: can i refuse to give my laser to the cops? what conseqences if possible?

You know, I was wondering that myself.

I do know that some people have gotten away with refusing to hand over their cameras. However, lasers are a bit different. As they're more likely to be seen as something that's illegal, an officer is more likely to arrest you if you refuse to hand it over.

We've all heard of people getting charged with resisting arrest, but I've never heard of people getting into trouble for "resisting confiscation" or "resisting seizure." My guess is that it would fall under "failure to comply with a lawful order"/"obstructing a police officer" or something like that.

Uhm ..... just a thought ..... happy police officers that have fun bullying and beating peoples here and there in a demonstration of "god power granted from an uniform", will surely become much less happy and feel much less fun, if one day, one or more of these beatened peoples go mad, takes out guns and start to shoot in the group ..... and i fear that, if things go this way a bit more long, first or after it happens .....

I was thinking about that yesterday as well, I have a couple of very fanatic acquaintances that are "packing" all the time.
It wouldn't take much of that "abuse of power" to make one of these guys snap and kill a bunch of cops.
There was one guy a few years back that had cops harassing him, they illegally came on his property to search without a warrant and he shot one of them thinking it was just a thief.
The RCMP wouldn't admit to their mistake and instead tried to "take him out" well, it turns out this guy was a crack shot and killed 2 (I think) of the "snipers" that were hunting him.
The whole thing blew up at that point and they tried unsuccessfully to take him in for something like a week.
His property was easily defended and his home well fortified. They finally got him but the RCMP sure got a lot of bad rep for that one.
It was a long time ago so I don't remember the details but I think that's pretty close to how it went down.
Abuse of power meets fanatic resistance....Amazing to behold ^_^

I remember reading about a case in canada, some cops illegally broke in to a guy's house (no warrant, not even reasonable suspicion) wearing plain clothes and never shouted "police" as they entered. Reasonably, he threatened to shoot them (he assumed they were robbers). Somewhere in the mix, they shot his unarmed wife in the leg. He killed one and injured the other. The courts decided that he was innocent, which I thought was cool. Usually abuse of power is not dealt with appropriately.

Wow... just looked up those names... at least they treated the second guy semi-reasonably.
