When I'm viewing thumbnails, it also does that to me if I try to enlarge or move (scroll) to another pic.
I find with thumbnails, if there is more than one, I have to carefully hit either previous, or next to see the others without it kicking me back out of the post.

Are these all 445nm or any higher wavelength besides the red? Sorta interested.

Yes, I have the same problem especially with IE but also on my iPad.
Frustrating, it does it to all posts.
