9mm 445nm diodes

Jeff ( flaminpyro) is malingering copper aixiz style modules for these 9mm diodes as we speak

Naaaw cmon. No 808 for 445...never ever.
So what? thats just the lens that comes with it, just use a 405 coated aixiz glass lens instead...

Dont worry. I try not to spam...raising my count is not my goal on this board.

How about otics for those diodes? Are there housings and lenses for them available as well?

They are still working on them. One option would be a milled out standard AixiZ module (Matt). One making direct pressed heat sinks (Jeff), and another (maybe Joe, or Jay) making direct press modules.

I was gonna say, the little birdy had too much coffee that morning. We all did, and got too excited, but it's okay! At least they are not changing the diode size, so we can stick to 5.6mm modules and press fits.

Where then did the little birdie learn about these supposedly being 9mm?

I feel like I'm talking about firearm calibers.

Someone told him about the thread in the vets section I'm assuming, because we thought these would be 9mm diodes

yeah, i'd like a .50 cal 445 diode ;)

Wait, so I went away for a few days. I don't follow.

So they're not 9mm? Disappointment. :(

Oh, and if they were 9mm diodes, the 808nm modules would have been just fine. The lenses on those modules are replacable.

I'd be more concerned by the poor retention (and consequently, heatsinking) of those modules as they use a screw-in design.

And yes, jakeGT, information filters through to me from just about everywhere. No big deal. :)

I never said it was a big deal, I was simply answering Meatballs question. I had no intention of saying that it was a big deal, Your a 1,000 times over and over more veteran than me, and I did not mean to say you didn't have the right to know. or be in the vets section for that matter

Sorry if you took that as me being harsh; I didn't mean for it to be that way.

Just that the little birdie in the Vets' section thought I might be interested in these 9mm diodes. ;)

I didn't think they'd exist so I figured I'd ask first.

It's all good, I didn't want you to take my post in the wrong way. All is good here, no worries!

I do have my M-140 diode though... Ready to make a gnarly laser out of it, even if it is still a 5.6mm

I believe that this form of discrimination is not just,
why limit the purchase of these diodes 9mm (if
exist), when in "sell" you sell laser <1.4W at all is
a hypocrisy to say
we have >1000 and we are privileged to have him in
preview -.-''

Whatever you say, punk ;-) I'm sure that there are plenty of other ways to get these diodes, they've existed for a while now. Heck, didn't you just say that there are 445nm diodes in the FS section? If you feel like you are being left out from this, go buy one of the other "tried-and-true" ones.

I see that the projector isn't a "slimline" model, I guess that's where the speculation about the 9mm package being used came from? That, and the fact that BigBrother knows that we use these 5.6mm diodes, and the assumption that they would do what they can to prevent us from using these?

Still the same method of operation?

Only one projector was purchased and gutted, so only a few people got diodes.

Chill.
