Hi!

Finally my build is completed!

I would like to thank everyone giving me support, especially DTR, ApexProxy and Garoq!

Diode:
9mm 445nm in Aixiz Module with 2.1 A X-Driver from DTR

Host:
Survival Laser Stainless Steel Host Assembly with extended and tapered copper heatsink and battery extension tube to fit 2 18650

I named it "Blue Mysterio" because I don`t have a LPM and so I will never really know what the exact output of my laser will be!

I attached a picture of the assembled Surviallaser Stainless Steel host with the battery extension tube and one picture of the first beamshot!

Cheers brunes01

Re: 9mm 445nm "Blue Mysterio"

Well congratulations... It looks quite nice. You can more or less figure out a very aproximative power output by knowing at what mA you are driving the diode. And if you continue in this hobby a LPM is a good addition to your equipment.

Re: 9mm 445nm "Blue Mysterio"

It runs at 2.1 A with a X-driver from Lazeerer and a G2 lens.

So I guess the power should be somewhere around 2.5-2.7W!

First beamshot outside. This thing is crazy!!!

Hey Brunes, we have 2 members in Austria who have LPMs who will measure it for you!

Click the link in my sig to talk to them about getting your laser measured.

+1 on the build!

You can also estimate power by battery current. The you can compare it with battery current of someone with same diode and driver .. it more or less scales in linear way. Sure, diodes can differ in tens of percent, but it should give you some idea.

Hi!

First burning test was done and I`m very happy with it!

Here is the link to the video: "Blue Mysterio" Burning Test

Password fot the video is: lpf

And I got 2 new beamshots. One is the same as my avatar.

Awesome build and beamshots.
I wish I could get beamshots outside like those during the day. Arizona has no humidity most of the year, so the laser can't pick up on moisture as much.

Nice built :gj: I use the exact same host for my PLTB450 built. Also with that extension tube. It works great with the two 18650 batteries.

Hi!

@ Zakkusus

It was more in the dusk than during the day. I think the settings on my camera were not that good while taking the photo. Also the beam seems to be "light blue" on this photo, but it is much darker in reality!

On some other pics, the settings were much better I think.

@ JoopdeWolf

I like the rather simple but classic look of this host! and of course the copper heatsink!
First I was a little bit concerned if it will be the right host for my build, when I was told my duty cycle will be rather short at that power!
But now I`m perfectly happy with it!
And 2 18650`s indeed work great with the extension tube in this host!
