More to the point - I don't think your camera COULD be blind at that wavelength.
My understanding is that the IR-cut filter on almost every CCD (DSLR or otherwise) has a very sharp falloff almost exactly at 700nm. Like - cliff edge style sharp falloff.
I could be wrong - but I would be surprised if a camera went blind at say 680... since we *can* see that.
