For fun I made a video overview of this laser for my Youtube account like I have for some other lasers I have. Here's a link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04w1dmJijVM
I'm also pumped that I finally have 1000 subscribers!

Congradulations! 100... I think that's a lot. ;D Nice review, also. :D Would you happen to know if the pen-style pointers are any good? Their 80mW pointer is only 32$. :o

Thanks! I haven't tried out their 80mW pen style pointers so I don't know what they are like.

Ahh, thanks anyway. I'll get it soon and do a review, If it's even 60mW it'll be worth it.

Sry for being late, or interfering. Thought I'd post a pic of the IR from a laser pen with an IR camera:

Excellent review btw! :)

Wow, that's a lot. How powerful was the laser? I know IR leakage can range from 60-80%. I had a laser (~10mW green) that one day stopped working, and somehow it was putting out around 7 or 8mW of IR and no green! The crystals probably cracked/burnt from the E2 LI batteries. ;D Everyone was amazed when I showed them my "invisible" laser. :D

EDIT:
Nevermind, I saw you sig, and the DX30 is the only one that would do it.

Oh, and by the way, where did you get those clear 532nm googles? I've never seen any before.

Remember that the picture was taken with an IR camera so the coating might be transparent to IR.

Its just a normal camera with its IR filter removed right? I clearly see green and some coloration in other things in the exposure - a pure IR camera renders monochromatic images.

True, my IR camera can see some green from my green laser but it doesn't show that much color. You're probably right about the IR filter being removed.

I like the streetlight trick... It doenst work here since they are controlled by signalling over the power wires instead of light sensors, but its neat if you have lights like those :D

What is the power output on this laser?

I still get a kick by shutting off that streetlight by my house with my laser...all of the ones around where I live seem to be turned on by a sensor.

I haven't metered this thing because I don't have a meter.

Oh right, didn't think of that. My IR camera always makes my laser enhancement glasses turn clear...

I wish we had a streetlight around where we live. :'( The nearest light is probably a 5-8 min. drive...

I suppose i'd have to drive off the continent to find one ;)

Yea it's the camera in combination with the incandescent light in the room which by it self emits allot of IR. That makes many things clear.
Those are the NOVA Shields Sport goggles.

i just ordered one.
if it's decent i'll prob order alot more along with laserbees small meter to measure them with before selling them here in US
