When I look directly at the pic I would say 532nm, but when I´m staring on another item near my notebook, without focusing your laser-pic, I notice 445nm much more.

Here is a quick and dirty photoshop edit of a photo I took to illustrate the camera's version of reality... above is the unedited photo, below is the edited version depicting how the beam appears to my eyes:

The output powers are 250mW 445nm and 130mW 532nm.
Air is "clean."

Awesome, thanks ken! That is actually pretty close in terms of brightness. That is good to hear. I am attempting to build a 50-75mW 445 in a pen, and I was hoping it would still be pretty bright. Based on this, a 75mW 445 may be equivalent to a 40-50mW green. And a 50mW would be similar to a 30mW green. Which is actually still quite bright!

Except the sensitivity and colour balance of a CCD in a digital camera is not necessarily that of an eye. so comparing digital photos for the purpose of comparison to eye sensitivity is not accurate.

Here are a few examples of my Spartan 447nm 1Watt Laser and my new Wicked Lasers Photonic Disrupter Pro 532nm 100mW Laser.

Simply amazing pics Spartan! And the second pic, I would have been worried sick that the lasers might fall!

And interesting how much thicker the 445 beam appears to be compared to the green.

In general*, the 445nm emits a "bar-shaped" beam. Thus taken at different angles, the 445nm beam is likely to appear differently (different thicknesses).

*It's been said the Arctic uses lenses to "crop" the output to a more pleasant dot-like shape but with my 405-G-1 based laser, it is without a doubt a bar...

Can a 445 diode be made to produce 2 watts pulsed for 2-3 seconds safely without burning up?

Except he rounds up from 1800mW or so, and a few people (Hemlock Mike?) have had their diodes die at 1.8A.
