i am still over ordered atm boostcyc wanted a refund so i am only 5 over atm
but if those people in red dont pay the extra fee i will have openings.
if by the time i ship they have not paid then i will allow someone to take their spots.

But i am looking at a 3rd projector.
i will start a thread for it very soon
i got about 12 people wanting them.

Pink esd vs silver esd vs grid esd bags?
i got tons of pinks esd bags or anti static bags
very few silver esd bags and about 25 grid esd bags....

I want a pink bag... inside of a silver bag. And then I want the diode taped to the outside of them.

Alternatively, you could choose to put the silver bag inside of the pink so long as both bags were turned inside-out... but then you would have to tape the diode into the now-inside-out silver bag (effectively inside of both bags). Got it?

That's what I want... Or else...

While I'm not getting any diodes at the moment, the silver bags would certainly be better.
Perhaps use up the silver bags you have then go grid bags. I would wire wrap the pins for any diodes in pink bags.
If you haven't shipped already that is.

Silver provides a conductive barrier protecting the contents against ESD.
Pink merely has minimal generation or retention of a static charge.
Ordinary plastic bags can generate and hold static charges.

also i want to make sure i extract everything in one piece.
My internet has been acting up so i will still try to live web cam it around 8pm est.
once i have each piece extracted i will lay them out and find there new owners with the highest bid write down tier names then package them up and away they will go.
But for me to do this you must be able to beat the people wanting to buy the whole projectors. or else after the arrays come out i will pull one set of combining optics out then i will ship them off.
Also you are paying for shipping. so i will try to weigh each item and give a quote on how much its going to cost me to ship it to you.
small items might be free if they fit with the laser if they need their own package then it will cost more.
i can wrap the pins in tin foil if you wish.

Oh, I did not know about the ESD bags. Way to go!
yes, that what we do for our diodes. I have a Harbor Freight sealer. It's on it's second set of heaters.

Let me know if you want some 1/4" anti- static foam. I will give it to you FREE for the cause, but it may be too late.
Sorry I missed the ESD bag addition, as I stopped reading every page late last week. Yes, the ESD bag will do the trick. One can even ship with styrofoam peanuts at that point.

Tho I think it would be better to record it & post on youtube as I don't know how many will be able to tune in at just this moment.
Plus the stream doesn't seem to be working for me, it did work at one point.

There's a lot of confusion out there about the protection provided by different types of 'anti static' bags. The only type that provide ESD protection are the metallised ones. The others just prevent the generation of static charges. If you touch a component in any other type of bag a spark can pass through the bag and damage the component.

Here is a summary from this site: Antistatic Bags & Conductive Bags
----------------------------------------------------------------
“METALISED SHIELDING” BAGS (Silver in colour).
A Faraday Cage:Compulsary for all static sensitive components outside of an ESD station.

BLACK CONDUCTIVE BAGS
It is POSSIBLE TO DAMAGE a static sensitive component inside a Black Conductive bag with a contact ESD!

ANTISTATIC BAGS (Pink, clear etc.)
Antistatic bags offer NO effective protection against a contact ESD!

Since you have mainly pink bags I suggest you seal the diode in a pink bag and wrap that in aluminium foil. Fold the edges of the foil a couple of times so it forms a sealed container.

An extra worry: I've tried measuring the conductivity of a 'metalised' plastic bag and it appeared not to be conductive at all. It might be that the metal layer had a protective insulating coating, I don't know, but it is possible some metalised bags are not actually antistatic at all! Again, I would stick a pink bag inside aluminium foil.

I agree with Intrawinding...
The plastic pink bags maybe just make a normal bag into something that is better than normal. It maybe won't stick to your hand or wall, or make your hair stand up when your rub it, but it won't provide much protection. They maybe won't cause static, but won't block static if for instance you are walking across a carpet carring your diode insode the pink bag.
Use those to ship out a completed circuits like a driver board.

Only use the foil type bags for full MIL SPEC protection.

I use the anti-static foam inside of the Faraday cage bags, just like the big semiconductor manufacturers.

Sometimes I even put a anti- static sticker on the outside. I hope that is not requested like other requests I just read.
