Before i ordered my 10440 batteries i tested lasers with 18650 battery and it worked, and they were more powerful then with 2xAAA, i could see purples beam in well lighted room.

So this is my mod with 18650 battery

Probably gonna use it till my 10440 batteries arrive. :D

I think it's in your head. Either that, or you bought the wrong one. Just measured:
2.8V draw: 260mA
4.2V draw: 180mA
It's regulated, so battery voltage doesn't affect power.

As I was saying earlier:

The FWHM resolution is 2nm, but it still measures the 543nm quite accurately: to within +/- 0.5nm I'd say.
 
Did you measure how much voltage is diode getting with diffrent batteries.
I can assure you theres diffrence in beam and dot.

Just put it on the power meter, and there's <10% or <5mW difference (ie no statistical difference).

So like I said, either you're imagining it, or you got a crappy one that isn't regulated properly.
 
Even my friends can see diffrence.... and even <5mW can make dot brigther so theres diffrence.
 
i got 2 green and 2 blue last week. they all seem comparable. they have, what looks like the same housing. i got one from a different dealer with a different sticker and the host seems to have a slightly different thread pattern.i thought that was odd,but given its cheap chinese stuff it makes sense that standards go out the window. imo all worth the$4-$5.

Bought 3 green from 3 different ebay sellers with reputation >10,000. In the end, paid to the same paypal account:wtf:
 
boss 7321 was one of the sellers i bought from. there was a mix up in shipping and my pointwr never made it. he offered a refund and also to ship another. good business man trying to keep his score up.

That's pretty common on eBay or Amazon! It's to dilute the negative feedback I believe.

Looks like this guy either got shutdown or moved onto a different Ebay user name.
 
What is the seller's name? I couldn't find his ebay postings based off the original link.
 
I just bought five 532nm's and three 405nm's I will post the power of them once my LB II LPM gets here :)
