Alright, so im driving down the pacific 101 in the middle of nowhere yet I'm browsing the internet faster than with the crappy connection at where I'm staying. Awesome. The ipad is absolutely great, it has a HUGE keyboard.... Plus the 3G model has GPS and navigation. I wouldn't get one cause of the cost but if you're considering getting one, go ahead. Plus using it is just fun, the huge capacitive screen makes it feel like something from the future. :D lots of fun.
 





I used to make jokes about them and stuff till I got to try one out at the Apple store, now I want one. :( I'd probably only be able to get the WiFi version though. Trying to decide if I should get iPad or upgrade to iPhone 4 from my 3G.
 
Lol I thought they were stupid too but I absolutely love it! And the iPhone 4 sucks IMO... That antenna problem sounds annoying.
 
I'm still on an iPhone 2G, if I can get the money then I'll get the iPhone 4 once they sort the aerial issues, mainly becuase of the cameras. I have a cheap laptop that I can take everywhere (and only fails once in a while) and that's good enough for me.

For a touchscreen device lol...but it's big enough to type like I type with a standard keyboard.
 
AHHH I shall have nightmares!
(both because of that pic, and the fact that someone actually thinks the ipad has a use!)
 
lol go ahead and make fun Pontiac, once you actually use it you will change your tune. Plus I can now type at like 3/4 my normal speed :D

Wow, slows you down by 0,25 when you can type at 100% your regular speed with a real keyboard!
 
No use? Don't be silly, that device would surely make a fine fly swatter! I'm sure it can even display a picture of an analog swatter!

I'm a mac fan, but with the ipad I am still undecided and it's WAY to expensive for what you're getting.

Mac Mini is less money and it's a full computer.

More of there stuff these days is about hype and image than about performance and quality, IMHO.

But my wife wants one OF COURSE!

I kinda told her, if you want it, you need to buy it. So we'll see.
 
I just don't get it.. Why not use a small laptop instead? Much cheaper and more functionality..

Have you ever actually tried to to use a small laptop? it's God dam awful, typing is awkward the screen is always at a funny angle and don't even get me started on the stupid little touch pad.

I have a 64GB iPad Wi-fi, and it's a fantastic device and useful for more occasions than you think, I can get home from work/school sit down and it'll be on and I'll be browsing in 3 seconds flat... It's a joy to hold and use.

Not everything has to have a definitive use, it has all the uses a small laptop does, just better. Humans have to no real point, all we do is destroy things, the Earth and the rest of the Universe would still be here if we weren't.
