Wow, incredibly impressive! That is a mean looking beast.

I knew FlaminPyro was working on a neat focus ring, but that laser it sits on is just as astounding.

Great job!

Another great build you got there DTR,
Talk about ruling the review section

Im particularly liking that focus head,& looks like it took a fair bit of time to make with all that attention to detail.
So how do you machinests go about making those neat little recesses for the tritium vials if you dont mind me asking?

Thanks guys. This was a truly rewarding project for me.:D

Excellent project- I like what you did with the conversion

ust an idea for an even more epic build. What if you took that custom head and integrated some high output LED's. That would be an interesting addition, and you could put that 32650 in there to help with the led power consumption. I use UV multiple times a week and a different wavelength also. that head has the holes for potientially 6 of one size LED and 6 of another.

All you would need then is a logic switch to go inbetween the modes. When I first saw this project of yours all I kept thinking was< It would be nice to modify my inova UV to accomodate an blue laser in the middle. I like to have things be multi purpose and for this project of yours I see more I'd like to do with it to accomodate my needs.

Uhmm... I think you just need to send that to me for up close inspection, but if you do you won't get it back.:eg:

That one is now my favorite.
Just stop it your giving me laser envy.

As usual great work.

hey, back off, I saw it first!

Absolutely amazing! This has to be the most agressive thing I've ever seen in such a small package! Any chance you'll offer this in a kit or ready made?

It is an amazing unit. To build it may come with a little sticker shock though.;)

Well if I remember correctly.

I think the host was like $40.

The heatsink was about the same $40

The unit does require a little modification.
Machining the pill and head $30

Diode would be $46

Aixiz module $5

G-1 lens $55

Custom focus adapter $125

Battery $12

Drivers if he has them in stock $46

So about $353 in parts alone.

Then your labor in building it or having it built for you which would not be cheap. Don't even ask how long this project took from the time I first saw the host to completion.
