Re: 268mW 6X Key Chain Blu-ray! - With FlexDrive!

Finally had time to finish this awesome little build it's a PHR-803T that i got from kendall set at 100 ma. Also i want to say thank you to jay for the great info and attention to detail. I built this whole thing on a real nice drill press and a little help from my dremel. Also i can get the laser module out by threading another module on to the aixiz metal glass lens not the cheap plastic one and it worked fine for me. I know i put a couple dents in it my fault for rushing.

Great job getting it to work! (I know how 'tight' the build is)

I guess you can't complain too much about the dents and scratches doing it on a drill press...

tysonc1979, I think that you are the only one who has followed this little key chain build!

At least the only one that has posted back with success...

I know IgorT is working on some that I machined for him and sent him the hosts, but as busy as he got, I don't think he built them yet.

Thanks man! :)

I don't let it 'thrash' around on a key chain. (although it is small enough)

It sure fits into any pocket though!
Jay

Yeah i don't put mine on my key chain either. Ive made 3 so far 2 for me one for my son and everyone who see's them wants one there always like where did you get that from and why is it blue then i tell the story ect... and of course i give all the credit to jay :)

This is cool..

Anyway, you should use atleast paint (xD) to resize your pictures.

I'm sure I could go down to Lowe's where I got a bunch of them and buy you one...

Did you want a price for some prep work on it? If you are going to follow this build, I can drill out the head to fit an AixiZ module, and even do the tail cap mod for a 10280 battery if you want.

But first make sure you can get the 10280...
Jay

The batteries are the hardest thing to come buy for this build. But it's worth it once you do find em.

:takeit:yeah i need the host. i have a machine shop at my disposal. my dad builds industrial gantry robotics.
the machine shop is larger than a football field.
my local lowes no longer carries them.
let me know the price of the item and i will send you pmt.
thanks jay.

They are only about $5 bucks, but I would have to go get one, and then ship it, plus some small PayPal fees and packaging. How's $12 bucks sound to cover everything?

Sending PM...
Jay

$12 is OK since i can't get them locally or find them on the net. you should check you local store first before i send you the money and make sure that they have them. the lowes web site no longer has the SKU in their master DB. just trying to save the hassle of a refund on your behalf. if they do have it then great, PMT will be on the way.
Just let me know.

Hey man...

I went ahead and picked up two of these Key Chain lights with the idea that you really wanted at least one of them.

Did you change your mind?
Jay

Jay, i would like one of those please, i have stumbled across a few freak PHR's that run 1mW per 1 Ma, "roughly" very efficient. i have one that outputs 145-150mW @ 122mA with aixiz acrylic.

seeing as wonhunglow hasnt answered you back would you consider shipping me one?

PM me if you would like to do a little bussiness. ^_^ i have admired this build for months now and finaly have access to funds to buy the things i need to finish all of my many projects.

Let me know Jay, i'm quite excited about this.

and i am SURE that if you made this into a kit, people WILL buy it all day lol. and i have a local computer specialty shop that sais they have a few of those larger batteries no one can seem to find. should i pick all of them up and see if anyone needs them on here?

thx in advance jay! you do such amazing work! i'll talk to you soon hopefully.

Tyler
