[quote author=pullbangdead link=1221016237/20#25 date=1221091145]^ You misunderstand the calendar thing. Dec. 21, 2012 in our current Gregorian calendar corresponds to the time which is the end of the cycle in the Mayan calendar. The end of the 5126 year cycle, basically the beginning of the Mayan new age and the change from year 5126 to year 0, when translated to our current Gregorian calendar, falls on what we call Dec. 21, 2012. The Mayans didn't say 12-21-2012, they said after 5126 years, it goes back to zero, and the 5126 years ends then. The Dec. 21 2012 cam from translating their calendar over to see where it ended up on ours.
Also, the LHC was tested successfully, but today/yesterday was never when the conspiracy ideas were even claimed to be possible. All they did was send one beam at a time, and all the doomsday theories are about actual collisions. Collisions won't happen for over a month, and high-energy collisions might not happen for a year or 2 yet. The time of worry for doomsdayers hasn't happened yet, and won't for a while.
