200mW Green Modules @ $39 (Temp, SALE Price)

well, hopefully its decent...i ordered one

The last time I bought any 200mW modules it was from DX. Most of them came in >150mW. I still have an 180mW module in a Kryton from that batch

Peace,
dave

I just got mine. No LPM (noob... sorry)

I connected to the same 3v cr-123 battery as the module from ItemQuickShip's 150 mw from about 6 months ago, and the 150mw was brighter than this new module... I think the 150mw might be somewhat overspec, as it burns thru thin black plastic bag in about 10 seconds...

But the new module did have a tighter spot. also, it's in a longer brass can, and just seems a better overall module.

The 150 has a plastic lens housing.

All-in-all, I'm happy ;-) Let's see if I got this one right...

I got mine today. The only host I had was a Dorcy Jr. that used to host a phr. I had to cut the springs on the driver and the Dorcy tail cap, and use a CR2. I also had to solder a wire to bypass the momentary switch. I don't have a LPM; it could be 100mW for all I know. Also, IDK if using higher voltage batteries (3.2-3.7) makes a difference, or if it's safe for the driver.

Mine came today, the divergence is terrible and the lens is incredibly dirty (well, the divergence might not be that bad. It may just be a REALLY dirty lens.)

Anyway, it looks about as bright as my 125mW Fusion. I know the fusion does 110-130mW of IR free green, so with the divergence fixed and lens cleaned up it may put out around 125-150mW of green. It does use a 9mm diode, so its possible that it would do 200mW. I was expecting a 5.6mm pump diode, and I don't think one of those would be strong enough for 200mW of green.

It's not very stable though, it may be hopping or just fluctuating. It's hard to tell through the dirty spot.

Overall, I'm pretty happy. The sale price is about as much as I would pay for one though.

Module on the left, Fusion on the right.

Module upper left, Fusion lower right.

And that's the limits of my testing instruments

so how much current could the diodes handle......do green lasers even work that way? im still learning...and also someone mentioned 5.6 and 9 mm diodes...did they come out with a green diode yet? i heard talk about it but ive never really looked into it...

Poor AAA batteries... i wonder how much power it produces running off a 3.2 volt lab supply.

lithiums would be alright i would think...those can handle 1a constant discharge :0 thats for energizer ultimate lithiums

The price has been rised to $42. :(

What is the diameter of the brass module ? I asked the vendor and he said it was 7.5mm which is kinda odd.

The front lip is 12.25mm. It will not slide all the way into the pen hosts I have here.
