2.239W 445nm in Polished Custom C8 :) New video from 10 kilometers !!!

Hi Everyone

This is my first review on lpf and it is about my new 2.239W Laser that I have
built yesterday.

It is not my first build but it is the first 2W + laser that I have build so I was
really excited about it And... I have forgot to take pictures while building it hh....

So First of all DTR has measured the M140 Diode for me :

I have bought a c8 host from Ebay for 10$. Then a friend made me a heatsink for it. After That I have De-andonized it and polished it to mirror finish.

After that I have received a BlitzBuck v3 From Cliff Thanks Man :thanks:

And Then I have built it. Finished Laser :

After Building it I really feel that I need more hh I do have a 1.3W Brushed
c6 that I have built last week but this one is much more powerful.

My next goal is 2.5W with a 9mm diode. I really hope I will succeed

Haha, I really don't know why this hasn't attracted any attention.

Maybe bigger photos? Try linking to the direct photos, not the thumbnails.

How did you polish it? It looks very nice.

First of all thanks ! And I will link to direct photo as soon as I get home.

I have polished it with a small old polishing machine that my father gaved me. It
takes time but it does the job

Nice looking powerful Laser....

I would only suggest that you take another reading
just a bit further away from the Thermopile sensor
(10"-12") to make sure it isn't picking up and heat
from the Laser head or your hand...

I guess DTR measured the diode for you directly driven at the current that your BlitzBuck is set right now?

Dtr has measured it at 1.8 amps as my blitz buck v3 is also set.

That is one outstanding blue laser!

I Love that host man, I have one myself and it looks amazing polished.

What batteries are you using? 2x 18350?
