>1W WL Krypton Anyone?

On the chance it actually is putting out what is advertised-- the buyer is taking a risk not knowing and won't be willing to pay as much, in case it doesn't arrive on-spec. So in essence, you may actually make more without a potential risk on the buyer's part.

A LPM measurement is the local post office and like <$15 away, theres a list of members now willing to do it... two of them being two states away from you.

Just to note, I bought an advertised 600mW laser when I started out and it measured a max of 67 when I got a LPM :(

ZRaffleticket,

Did you actually believe that it was outputting 600mW? And I've been messing around with lasers for a few years now...

Back when I was new, yeah I thought it was. I later guessed it was in the 300mW range, nope.

"I can't guarantee that this is filet mignon, but it tastes pretty good so I'll sell it as such."

Bottom line; no LPM results, no credibility. Period.

Hmm... interesting. Alright I'll look into sending it off to get LPM'ed

In the meantime... I still need to know elementary pricing for the Krypton. Is there anyone interested in buying this laser? Or is everyone just curious?

There will be plenty of people interested if the laser gets LPM'ed. Its not that we don't trust you. We don't trust the company who makes the lasers. So try and out yourself in our shoes. I personally wouldn't risk even 300$ on your laser. Why? Because I don't know what it is actually outputting.

If you post a screenshot of a LPM graph or just a LPM readout (in this case that would be whoever you send it too) you will most likely have 5 times the amount of interest you already have.

Hey hwang21,
Can you take a picture like this?

Because the Krypton works with this class of module:
200mW 300mW Green 532nm DPSS Laser Module Alumina Yttrium Discouncreate Crystal | eBay
500mW 600mW Green 532nm DPSS Laser Module Alumina Yttrium Discouncreate Crystal | eBay

The 1W krypton have a really big module and the heigh can be simple to see if you take a picture like this, also this picture is my 300mW krypton vs my 1W krypton.

Hello JLM,

How far down is the black ring around the lens of the diode? Both of my Kryptons are the 1W version so I can't exactly tell like your 300mW to 1W Krypton comparison. Mine look like they are about 4mm ish down from the top end of the thread. Pic included, not sure if it's a very clear shot though

EDIT: I'm looking into getting it LPM'ed, I'll update when I send it out (probably tomorrow). I'm glad there's actually some interest :p I am dying to get a LPM

Hello JLM,

Looks promising! Out of curiosity, when did you purchase your 1W Krypton? It should say on the yellow warning sticker. Thanks

I see. Mine was manufactured earlier than yours, serial number 64505, manufactured in June 2011. Mine is just a little too old to show up in WL's powergraph thing...

I was asked to test this laser for Hwang21 with my Ophir/ARGLPM because i'm the closet member to him. would that make some of you guys happy!
