Hello everyone!
I decided to make this video about my 16x S4 build. Now, as my channel's audience is generally not knowledgeable about lasers, the video may seem a little bit dumbed down to most of us here. Nevertheless, it should still be fun. :)

Sta, good looking build, and a nice video! Those poor balloons didn't stand a chance!
:gj:

Great job Sta,
from now on us laser guys will be recognized by the laser burn holes in our t-shirts....lol

Hehehe! That shirt was accidentally partially bleached, so it will be my test dummy for a while. :D

Good video and demonstration. :gj:
The 405 has also been called The Little Giant.
It's one of my favorites, so understated yet powerful, and on a foggy night that royal deep purple is something special, I want to do something with about half a dozen of them.

Hi Photo,
Yes a 445nm can if you have a Beam expander on it . This is a 462nm with BE i did some time back at 32 ft. and could reach out much more..
Rich:)

I think he was asking about getting to 1W with a single mode diode, which to my knowledge is not possible.

Very very nice man. I have a possible stupid question. I'm not familiar with that tip of the G2 lens where did you get that long focusing tip?

Thanks! It's the extended focusing ring from survival laser. :)

Cool vid, gave me inspiration for a 405nm laser down the road. Got a few projects going on atm, so for now I'll stick with my "5mW" eBay pen ;)

I'm anxiously awaiting my 10x from Jet, I may have to order another NUBM06 because of the tighter divergence and thinner corrected line width.

I may try it on my BDR-209 just to see what it will do at 32 and 75 feet.

Theoretically if the output lens is 35mm then the input beam should be no wider than 3.5mm if not diverging much, if rapidly diverging then less than 3.5mm, but if I am running negative divergence to 8 feet as I am I am hoping to stretch that width to about 4.5mm, but for the length of the expander I think I may still clip some, 4.5mm is what I have out of one of my 6x corrected 44's and running negative to 6-8 feet the others are 5mm +but that 06 was tight at 6x.

I could test different lenses on the 44 and then the 10x, but I think 3x - 4x correction may be about right, unless I find a 10x with a 60mm output lens.

Podo's 3x is looking good, is it AR coated? Anyone know before I order one in just a minute? Also what is the input diameter on podo's 3X ?
Thanks.

Threading in expanders should cover my sealed optics issue as well.

If only we had a 7 watt single mode 405nm, that would be insane. :lasergun:

Welcome :D
Ah found it, yeah I really liked that 405 build a lot, might inspire me to build one pretty soon using that BDR-209. Too bad you can push it up to an Amp without blowing it up Ha ha.

+REP because I trust Bows judgement. I'll have to look at it tomorrow as I'm struggling with a migraine.
