12x BR DIODES

Oh, well, as I have just received the current value (relevant to his max P.O.) and burning time, "All 12x Owners" datasheet has been updated with the last info relevant to Exerd 2!

To all Forum friends and Members: as my daughter + grand daughter have reached us coming from California, the following to inform that I'll be absent from the 21 till to the 30 of June. So pls be patient for the improvement of the datasheets, I'll check and apply all news at my return. Happy holidays to all of you that have planned them in this period! :yh:

Thanks FrancoRob for the PM about adding my unit to the list on the first page.

I thought I would point out that Dieselmarine also built a nice unit in a CR2 keychain host with the Lite On 12X as well.

618mW SF-BW512L 12x in Jayrob's CR2 keychain
Diode: Lite-On SF-BW512L 12x diode.
host: Jayrob's CR2 keychain
driver: flexdrive set @ 410mA
lense: Jayrob's 405-G-1

Also I did get a chance to test my current with my pyroload. It was 453mA.

Here are the specs again with mA included.

Diode: Lite-On SF-BW512L 12x diode.
host: Jayrob's black 18650
driver: Microboost set @ 453mA
lense: Jayrob's 405-G-1
Output:668mW

"All 12x Owners" datasheet has been updated with the entrance of DTR!

Redactor note for DTR: flickr has modified the rules allowing to transfer pictures in another web site, it has been a damn'd work to discover how to perform the job :yabbmad:

After approximately 1 hour total use over a 3 month period! I'm going up a few hundred mw
to 890mw in my Chrome mini.
That's one great host with a jayrob Cu heat sink!

More fun!

"All 12x Owners" datasheet has been updated adding the nospin upgrade and the graph of the Lite-On diode, bench tested by DTR, in the relevant section!

Ive just finished my 12x build, here are the specs:

Diode: Lite-On SF-BW512L 12x diode.
host: Jayrob's Chrome mini
driver: v5 set @ 500mA
lense: Jayrob's 405-G-1
Output: peak 787mW, avg 769mW

I built a 12x tonight:

Lite-On SF-BW512L 12x diode, self harvested
Jayrob's Chrome mini
micro boost @ 555mA (dummy load 5x1N5404+1ohm)
Jayrob's 405-G-1
peak 780mW, avg 740mW (kenometer pro)

i really think when we quote current settings we should include what our dummy load is so we can compare apples to apples

Just about identical to extelon's build...

You guys are really pushing these 12X's!

I guess since the sleds are only about $60 bucks huh?

People need to keep track of the longevity at these currents, please.

It would be nice to have bought my last Pioneer BDR-205 ;)

Peace,
dave

Not sure if this helps because I have changed the setup. But mine has a total of 4 hours on it. 3 hours @ 540mA and 1 @ 580mA.

I was asked to keep a running total on this unit but I may have ruined the usefulness of the info by turning up the current for the last hour.

I will keep track of the run time for you. I'm not sure that it would be pertanant info since we won't be pushing it very hard

The info would certainly be useful. The Idea is to see how long diodes will last at different currents. As long as you know the precise mA you are running it. And keep a running tally then the data would be good. My data from the previous thread may no longer be of any use because I have changed the current from when I started counting time on it.
