10 ML101U29-25 for $25!

Just picked one up... time to go find some modules and drivers and hosts

You need more diodes for the reserve. The LOC are sensitive diodes and can die just looking bad at them. :)

cantthinkofone, potentially, but that will be quite a bit down the road...

^this! most folks don't seal up the diode in their build, so it is inevitable that the LOC will die if you are one to swap out lenses or stuff like that.

How would one protect the diode? And hwang, I'll keep the extras, and when you need them just tell me.

I lost one poorly sealed LOC when I was doing a beach cleanup(it was windy and I got misted from whitecaps all day), other than that, I've never had any of these diodes get killed post build stage(obviously lost a few early on due to lack of skills).

I got my 10 diodes. They are nicely individually sealed in an anti-static foil. I haven't tried them out but they are looking the same as the LOC we all love. $2.5 each is a steal. :)

I got my diodes in a week or two ago. They weren't individually wrapped, just in a diode tray. I fired one up and it lased nicely. :D Such a good deal!

Mine came individually wrapped in ESD bags. One diode a bag.

These are also $29.99 now.

The prices are determined by supply and demand and the latter has just been raised over weeks. Still $3 a pop is a good price.

Yep got mine too, in a diode tray, all ten in the tray, sealed in the ESD foil. All of them lasing nicely in preliminary testing

see the aixiz driver thread... they really put out max ~485ma@ 6v and dont really change from there... they just get warmer @ more voltage and require minimal heat sinking
