Got mine after just two days! (most likely due to the fact that napa is roughly an hour away from where i am) anxiously letting batteries charge:D Are batteries case positive, or negative? Just a question so that i don't break it!

That won't break it but they are case negative.

WoW. I want to get my first laser. I wish I had money for one of these. It looks like buying it already built is cheaper. XD Are these gonna be around for a while? Gotta save some moneh, or do you do payments? lol im kiddin Don't answer that.

Anyone on this forum from des moines, ia? I would love to find someone near me with a laser power meter. I have no reason to doubt the power of my laser but it would be nice to know. I have not been able to set fire to paper no matter what I try black paper white paper crumpled up or flat sheet. I returned the 3v cells for 3.6v cells hopefully it will be more powerful! It will make a leather shoe smoke from about ten feet away focused to infinity. I doubt there is any visible difference between 1000mw and 1400mw but a 400mw laser would be pretty bright if it were green I dunno. I wish luke didn't advertise such a variable it makes me wonder to much if I got a dud compared to a 1.4w but none the less awesome laser! Id buy another if I didn't max out my paypal credit on the laser and preordering kinect for xbox 360.

Got mine Friday. Started a few fires with it! Down to Earth no frill host that just works. Thanks Luke!

Will be doing a review soon. I missed the morning fog however it was bright out and I was still able to see the beam streaking across the meadow like some crazy fanatical scalar weapon. Hint: at distance if the dot looks fat just turn the laser 90 degrees. ;)
