Wait... I was about to take the diodes over to the post office when I found a discrepancy in the final count...
Badger was put down for 3 on the first page but I received payment for one... did he post saying he only wanted one?!?! if so I now have 2 sleds that need to be sold ASAP... US buyer preferred.
Wow, my one sled arrived today. It's like those Chinese went to great lengths to smash up the sled as much as possible. All of the diodes and their ribbons were completely detached from the sled.
I don't think I can top the puke either. with 2o sleds, nearly all 405 diode blocks were loos with a few aluminum sleds shattered- yes, it made extraction as simple as shaking out the parts.
With the 405 diode removal from the blocks, I did not even need to cut the sides of the rectangular block. Is that what others have seen? I just grabbed both sides with vice grips, twisted slightly and bent the blocks (more like stressing them) away from the diode leads. The diodes mostly slipped out with tweezers.
I have used a diamond wheel on a dremel before for these types of blocks, but this was not needed on these (like we do for PHR's).
