I've had very bad experiances with ld's dying, most of the time cause i put to much current in them, i never measured but i would guess about 370ma. This time im buying one more and im going to lower the current to only 180ma, so my question is if i have a full driver with cap and everything...

Ive always wondered why blu-ray players use blue diodes that are expensive compared to red or ir.  I can only think of like 2 reasons for this maybe because the shorter nm will focus smaller, or because they have the name blue-ray? I also think i see a pattern, cd burners use ir, dvd burners...

Every were i seen said that the true lasers do infact have an ir filter its just bad quality so anything above the true 50 is going to leak quite a bit of ir. Well my true 5 could pop a baloon at 1 inch but it wouldnt at 4 inch so i kinda thought it was ir, i put my goggles in front of a camera...
