I was wondering, i have a mp3 player that takes one "aaa" battery and the battery life is really bad, so would it be fine for me to use just use a "D" battery with alligator clips hooked onto the contacts, or since a "D" battery has less internal resistance would it break it?

As long as the D battery has the same voltage it will be fine.

Yeah it should be fine, the current will be regulated in the mp3 player.

lol yeah it will work AS long as you have a REGULAR D battery. You can use any battery if you want, you could even use a car battery provided it was 1.5V ;D
