Okay, i need to put together a timer circuit, eg... when i put voltage *here* 45 seconds later (it doesn't have to be precise, 30-60 would be fine) it will come out *there*, only resetting the timer if power is shut off then reapplied.

So what would be the simplest way to do this? It also needs to be able to tolerate 24v.

Have a read on the 555 timer IC, and head on over to www.electro-tech-online.com They have a few circuit diagrams and will help you with making a timer circuit, they have helped me alot! Just don't ask for a circuit diagram straight away, thats the one thing that annoys them.

That would be perfect but it seems like it only tolerates 18v max. :(

Use a relay to switch the voltage.

It shouldnt be to hard, there are heaps of 555 timer circuits out there. Nothing is SMD unless you want it to be.
