Bird Scarer, help & advice, please

His neighbors Guinea hens are no different than owning chickens-geese etc--they are not wild birds- (BTW unless they are young they would not be very good to eat)--and there is a big diff when you talk about a dog crapping on yr doorstep every day --c'mon- -I really think that if he ignored...

Bird Scarer, help & advice, please

Avery Only some birds are frightened by lasers. The common starling will not even notice it. Canada geese, crows and seagulls are scared by a green laser. I would suggest you feed the birds then trap them with a live trap. Guinea fowl are good eating and/or are saleable.

    Weird uses for lasers

...it would be multiple times per night. Since I've been off of work for more than a week now, I've been more aggressive with the greenie vs. geese. When they see me come to the window (in response to the honking) they start floating the other way across the pond. I've even popped into the...

    Weird uses for lasers

It does work for sure. I've been using my greenie to convince the geese to leave from outside my bedroom window. I won't even get into the reasons why they are a problem (anyone with a geese problem will understand). It seems to be about the most humane way I can think of to get rid of them...

the admit u did something wrong thread

...to a thread that was started in min January or so. The title of the thread was something along the lines of "How many mW for hazing canadian geese green laser". Long story short, the OP was having some problems with Canadian Geese, and wanted to know how strong of a green laser to use to...

Well, "I hope someone shoots you with a pellet gun you cold piece of shit" is not a way to start an argument either.

I don't think so... not on that Geese Thread... It sure seems to me that he meant to insult someone with that Trolling comment directed at MFO.. Jerry

    Ban Abberation please.

...it and letting it get away, the thread should have been reported (and probably closed) when it became an animal cruelty argument. The "hazing geese with lasers" discussion went away long before people were angry. I admit that I stayed out of it. I have seen that topic go the same way many...

    Ban Abberation please.

This is the most valuable post in this thread. A lot of shit gets talked in a flame thread, even if it is tasteless pig-headedness that starts it. I don't think it's right to judge this person solely by how they react when in the heat of a flame war. Sometimes people under fire say the worst...

    Ban Abberation please.

Don't believe so. But he's proved he's a useless troll just with that thread alone.

    Ban Abberation please.

Have there been any issues with him outside of the animal "cruelty" concept in the Geese thread? Peace, dave

Bats (flying rodents) and bluray lasers...

...important animal. On a similar note, I live on a lake, and my buddy shined his green laser out over the lake at night. Suddenly, there were over 9000 geese taking off. It sounded like a plane. Prolly not good to do that to them, so we didn't do it again - but funny the first time on accident.

Bats (flying rodents) and bluray lasers...

...whenever I fire my bluray up into the night sky, the bats in nearby trees go completely insane. Not only do they squak like a flock of angry geese, but they swarm the area randomly almost in a frenzy. Anyone else notice this? Normally the bats around here swoop at dusk and settle down...

    Scaring away pigeons

If crows or geese see anything above 100mw of green, they freak out and leave. Most often they remember and don't come back. I would never shine a laser on an animal. You just have to shoot the beam across their field of view, in front of them (but nowhere close to them). It may also work with...

Playing with Ducklings with True 5

...as young as possible because they will imprint on you more and make better pets. I've never duck hunted before, only whitetail, but it sure looks fun. Same thing happens to me with the wild geese. At night the geese go crazy if I pull out a green laser on them. Down to only 2 ducklings today!
