Re: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with 'bhwollen'

I am pretty sure I listed this as 1.8A C8 445 laser $200 and then said $40 for a 405-g-1....
Can anyone confirm this? Maybe c0ldshadow!?

About the soldering...that is realy worse...

Re: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with 'bhwollen'

it amazes me that heatsinking the driver and lack of g1 lens seem to be the prevelant issues of this thread... Pardon my bad language.... The fucking driver was backwards!

Re: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with 'bhwollen'

This whole thing is inexcusable. As Chip said, the driver backwards?? I mean come on..

If i was selling a laser, it'd have at least 30 mins of runtime on it just to prove its stable, i couldnt do what ben has done here, my concience wouldnt let me.

Unforgivable.

Re: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with 'bhwollen'

Hey FP...

I just read your findings and observations on this bhwollen Laser
build (SCAM.... IMO)......

WTF !!!!

First... the soldering job looks like it was performed by
a hallucinating monkey...

If I had those soldering skill when I started in the
Electronics business... we would have gone out of
business 30 years ago.

Second... no G1 or G2 Lens as advertised...... (SCAM.... IMO)

Third... wiring the driver in reverse and claiming 1.8W.....(SCAM.... IMO)

Fourth... then refusing to fix his CRAP build for free and putting
his CRAP build on the Buyer's Shoulders knowing full well what
he sent the buyer... (SCAM.... IMO)

We have banned members for scamming other members here
before...
Why are we handling this blatant SCAMMER any differently..

He is obviously not going to step up to the plate and just let
the buyer hang...

@ FP.... I sent you a PM....

Re: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with 'bhwollen'

I think he was offering the g1 /g2 as an optional extra, read post #42 (direct link below)

Ive only seen good posts ect from bwhollen , its a shame this has happend, and a bigger shame he hasnt stepped upto the mark. People have been banned for less. This situation needs finalizing. Bwhollen either needs to refund in FULL the buyer and any incurred fees or send a replacement laser and publically apologise. And a time frame needs to be put on it, if its not adhered to, he gets banned.

Re: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with 'bhwollen'

This is ridiculous! As many have said, was it ever even tested? Back to the power aspect, ben has a couple of lpms. He couldnt have even metered it, let alone powered it up without the laser destroying itself with that jib drive backwards.

When I build for a customer, I spend a lot of time doing extensive testing so that my customer is getting a quality product. I build with the mentality of what would I be happy with if I were the customer.

Ben, it would be very wise to man up on this one... Otherwise, I don't think you will be selling much here anymore. :(

As professional sellers like LasersBee , FlaminPyro, DTR , Jayrob, Daguin (the list goes on) will testify, your product is your reputation , selling naff goods will only lead to one thing...

Re: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with 'bhwollen'

If you read that Thread... It seems THAT Laser was
sold to skewbasteve

Jerry
It looks like the same laser...and in the thread skewbasteve didn't receive it!
So maybe he sold it twice...0o
And if skewbasteve received it in the end, then it would be interesting to see that lasers guts :undecided:
Anyway, i will edit the link out...

Edit: Does bhwollen have porcelain cats standing in his home or is this his real cat which is looking fascinated at the >1W beam of this 445nm laser?

Re: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with 'bhwollen'

Sheesh, this brings back bad memories of the 1.8A Sparkler that I bought earlier in the year.

Flaminpyro is the man for completely rebuilding the POS into a fully functional 1.9W laser.

The reason I stated the G1 or G2 Lens was because of all the
Laser Builders stating that you can not get 1.8W output (as BW
claimed the Laser was) with an Aixiz lens.

I'm still not sure exactly of which sales Thread that the buyer had
bought his laser from...

BTW.... BW has had 22 days to make this right and all I've seen
is idiotic excuses why it's not his fault and refusing to pay for
repairing his Crappy build including shipping.

I totally agree. Your products speak for themselves and the customers speak about the products.

Also, reliable customer service is very important if you want to be a trusted seller.

Re: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with 'bhwollen'

Oh man, seems like I need to use heatshrink tubing in all my lasers, although I never had a prob with them failing.. This thread has taught me a lot :)
