Hi guys,

I just registered. I am infected with the laser virus and I think I made a mistake: I ordered a 1000mw green laser pointer from dhgate:
1000mw 532nm Green Laser Pointer adjustable star burn match 2...USD114.98 Wholesale Price at DHgate.com

I read a discussion in this forum about the 3000mw pointer from dhgate, in short you guys said it is a fake and not possible in such a small pointer. Well this is the same pointer with a different output rating.

So I guess, I bought some crap. Well, I will tell you, when I got it. I hope its somehow worth the 130$. Some 1-2 weeks and we will know more.
Or has anybody else tested these?

Anyways, hello to everybody from a newbie.
 





1W of DPSS green for $130 is not gonna happen in this lifetime,
my bet is its a 100-150mW laser

Be sure to let us know when you get it and how it performs
that information could be useful down the road
 
When you get it, see if any members here who have a LPM live near you. That way you can send it to them to get an accurate power measurement.
 
A 1W green DPSS pointer???

Yeah, but three months ago we were saying we'd never get 1W of blue for $50 in this lifetime:whistle:

Well, what is done can't be undone.
Do you have a LPM? It would be nice to know this laser's true power =)
 
Those are portables with an 18650 cell. However, there isn't enough heatsinking there for any serious duty cycle. 4 WATTS ???? ;-)

LOL... I'm waiting for this thing to be a 1mW laser... I bet the "m" in the description was for micro, as in µW :crackup:

Lol that would be epic, but say it was real. Imagine how crazy that would be to get a 1000mW green laser. Lol although my best bet is 150mW being the absolute most. :crackup:

Maybe you´re gonna have some luck and it is a 100mW laser.
If you´re interested you can send the laser to me and I test it on my laserpowermeter for you. With enough data according this, you can open a dispute on dhgate and if the seller isn´t interested in a comminication with you, contact dhgate directly and there is a big chance you get the money back.
