I figured this would be a good way to kick off the new section. Post what nice lights you have, and feel free to comment about them. I'll start:

Owned: Spiderfire P7, MTE P7, Aurora AK-P7-5

In the mail/ordering very soon: Raidfire Spear clone, iTP A1

The Spiderfire is pretty good, it just flickered a little out of the box, and a piece of aluminum foil in the tailcap stopped that. I didn't have a chance to measure current draw before the tailcap accidentally got superglued on (long story). I got the MTE as a gift, but with what time I had it for I could tell it was pretty low quality.
The Spiderfire has an absolutely perfect beam pattern (for me at least), no rings, a good amount of throw but still a large hotspot, and a perfect transition from middle to spill. The MTE is much floodier, so it has a bit brighter spill, but only throws 2/3 as far (I didn't like it). The Aurora should be arriving any day now, so I'll do a detailed picture review later this week. :D

My two good ones are both luxeon MflaRes one 500 and one 1000 lumen version. I also have some small mil-spec aluminum luxeon 150lumen lights for my car and around the house, I will post some pics eventually, at least of the MflaRes...

Too many.

The notable ones which I actually use sometimes include

Microfire Warrior III-3500 lumen HID flashligjht

Solarforce T-700-Triple Q5 with lots of modes and it runs on 3x 18650's for great runtime.

Tiablo A-9 with WC Q5 and smooth reflector-Great throw. Takes 18650.

Jetbeam Jet III pro I.B.S.-Sleek looking and small. Takes 18650

Fenix Tk-11-Same as jetbeam.

Wolf-Eyes P7. This was a nice one and cost a ton. Sadly it broke when I was working in a dark attic and it rolled off a wooden beam and fell about 10 feet to the floor. Now I have a nice Host and a working p7 on heatsink. I think the driver was what got ruined somehow.

Would that be the Sniper?

fenix ld20, maratac AAA, I used to have a decent gerber incan (about 40lm) but I destroyed it on accident... I love the LD20, but I wish I had gotten an equivalent light from quark or something with a warm LED. My eyes don't like the cool white of the LD20. I really hope that soon I can get a more "permanent" light, like a custom surefire LX2 with some awesome LED and tritium around a spiked bezel :D

Aside from my all my mod'd Maglites? The only stock flashligt I own is the Fenix LD20. The rest are 900~6600lm Maglite monsters.

So I got my Aurora today... First impressions are really good. Noticeably brighter than the Spiderfire, and the build quality is the best I've ever seen from China. I'll try to have an in-depth review up tomorrow, or the day after. By far my favorite DX torch I have yet!

The WL torch is grossly overrated. 5 minute runtime? Forget about it. I dont use Incandescent bulbs for a reason

And that 6600lm Maglite was something I built for a customer, consisted of three SST-90 LED's, never got a chance to use it for myself. Battery life is just over an hour. And didn't cost much more than the Wicked Lasers torch.

As far as Maglites go, I usually stay within the ballpark of 900 lumen's, as that is a practical amount of light, and an acceptable runtime off of alkaline batteries.

Nice, haha. Was it a 7D? Incandescent bulbs aren't that bad!

A 2C ROP will give you 50% more light than a P7 with the same runtime (~50 minutes). Do you ever do 2xP7 mods?

No, I used a 4D Maglite with a spacer. So its like a 4.2D Maglite. And I wish I had a 7D Maglite, they discontinued them in 1990.

And that ROP pelican 2D Mag mod had to have used Li-Ions to power it. That is where it got its runtime. If the same battery format was with a P7 the runtime would be way longer. The P7 is 90 lumens per watt; really hard to beat.

As far as having two P7's, I thought about it, but it would just look wierd. So no, I have not made a light with two LED's. Just 1, 3, 4, and 7.

So yeah im really against incans :p

Good point, LEDs are way more efficient. But it's still really fun to have a "wow" light with a short runtime. :D I've been thinking about doing a 3xXPG-R5, also. At 1A per LED, it would last roughly the same runtime as a P7 at 3A, right? And twice as bright.

XPG's are an AWESOME LED. My favorite light is my triple R5 2C Maglite. It uses two 18650's. Hours of runtime and ~1000 lumens.
