Maybe you guys shouldn't be so quick to jump on the wickedlasers bandwagon!

Susie from O-like said:
yes ,we hear much about this diode which is really a good market .now we are buying diodes . and willl plan to do finish products .if there is any news ,I will update to you .for price ,we think we will do cheaper than WL

Personally I have only great experiences with O-like, and if they can do a 445 for even cheaper than WL I'll definately buy from there.

I bet rayfoss/laserlands and stuff also has picked up on this by now.

Thanks for the heads up grix!
i personally don't think i would buy one from rayfoss because of quality issues.... check my sig, but i would definitely buy from o-like if they sell them cheaper.

Yeah but they won't be in that SPYDER III HOST, one of THE BEST LOOKING HOSTS on the market, IMHO !!!!

I´m definitely not a fan of the Spyder 3 host, but after buying it I have to learn to like it :D

How do you animate a JPG? Or is it a GIF with a JPG extension?

Back on topic.

I'm sure you'll see a pile of new versions in a month or so.
Dunno. Tinypic url's are always .jpg :undecided: but try to save it and it's .jpg.gif lol :p

Just a matter of time before DX sells 445nm pointers and modules... ;) I'll keep my eyes on the "new arrivals" section.

I already stated yesterday at 12:00 am that I asked rayfoss about this, and will be posting the response I get...That and regarding my own DIY project.

Major "quality" issues from cheap companies usually only come from DPSS lasers just because a simple diode laser is so hard to screw up. This is why high powered green lasers from DX are unreliable but there are rarely problems with the high powered red lasers. 445nm lasers from Rayfoss will be the same as any other cheap Chinese company IMO.

Hallucynogenyc was right when he said something as "I`ll wait to Rayfoss or o-like to start selling this product".
With coupon, at WL you are paying $178.00 + shipping, I`ll wait o-like`s offer too. Anyway, $178 is still a bargain.

good points but rayfoss has terrible customer service, i sent the laser back for refund a month ago and their reply on emails is terrible.. they take about 5 days to write an email that would take 5 minutes. Faona also told me that she was going to refund my shipping costs and then she said shes not going to!! And they're only giving me a 75% refund! outrageous IMHO.

There was a coupon "CP2" or something similar, it is posted in any thread of "455nm Lasers". Maybe that works. Three days ago was working fine.
