That was MarioMaster, and he went through three in his kryton, and they were cheap DX switches 'rated at 1.5A' while in actuality, they just melted at 1.5A.

Spydefire is running his higher than MarioMaster's kryton. Which means the clicky in the 18650 host is MUCH better :D

Why is it that at 500mA rangedunits got about 275mW, but at 550mA spyderfire got 600mW???

And ranged didn't get anything, that's a graph from PL.

@HumanSymphony: I'd hope so, considering you can get five of the switches Mario is using for <$4.

the video shows 305mw @ 500ma with NO LENS which obviously should be better than with any lens for pure light output, so the one in the video is much less efficient than spyderfires.

* Micro BoostDrive
* 475mA's
* 545mA's battery current draw

The stock projector lens is 6mm... This is the same size as the AixiZ glass lens. Which is maller in diameter than the 405-G-1.

Lenses compared:

* Stock projector lens: 352mW's - Wide spreading thin wings... not desirable.
* 405-G-1: 360mW's - Not too bad... same side splash but much more noticeable than with blu-ray because of the visibility of the 445...
* AixiZ 405 glass: 315mW's - This is the one for me! Very nice clean dot! (better than I had hoped for anyway) Still fairly good power.

I'm not understanding why the clicky is not handling 1.5 Amps??

I have cheap DX P7 flashlights that take 2800mA's...

Makes me wonder if maybe his battery is shorting to the host or something...

What's the lowest mW these things have been run at?

i am curious too.. I have wondered about that. I have never done any actual diode testing before, but if it has such a high upper end threshold, would that mean the lower end threshold would be higher than normal?

I believe I saw a graph that someone did on PL that showed that they lase at around 80mA's... (IIRC)
