This is an outrage. I'm not trying to step on your toes Avery, but come on dude. You don't have mods, and then when we try to "self moderate" this is what happens?

Edit: I strongly urge you to reconsider, Avery. You're going to lose a LOT of valuable members all because of a thief. This could very well be the end of LPF if enough of your vets leave.

UnbeFU*Kinglievable. Never in the entire time I have been here has there been a more well-proven case of outright criminal behavior and THIS is the result? My days here are officially numbered. I have a few things to wrap up, and I'm out. I want no part of this.

The fact that some of the most well-respected members of this forum were the ones involved here means nothing? The overwhelming evidence means nothing? It's no wonder things have gotten so bad here.

Avery, if this is the future you have in mind for LPF I can't stay here. The idea that the PROVEN actions of a criminal would be tolerated and all threads pertaining to this issue locked is beyond my comprehension.

that's a little harsh guys. I'm sure everyone claiming bs, that we have proof he's a thief / criminal, has themselves committed many crimes themselves at some point in their life.

Another thing, there aren't really any other good laser forums in existence. Threatening to "leave forever" would just mean you'd not be interested in lasers anymore, which I doubt will happen with anyone the rate that laser technology is advancing. I for one would never support any other forum.

I'm very glad you saw that this is a serious issue c0ld. You made the right choice.

This might have looked like it was just an out of control flame war, but i assure you it wasn't. This forum is supposedly self-moderated, or at least that how I understand it. The act of "self-moderation" is easily confused with flaming.

@rangedunits,had to remove mods before after an issue where someone else posted stuff which upset a company, and the company claimed i was responsible since they were a mod..they had no case but i needed lawyer to help out which cost thousands

i originally trusted the person who was a mod and it turned out they messed everything up so i am very skeptical about mods now

Rightfully so, I think. However, as the forum grows it may be time to reconsider. There are many members here that form a pool of proven trust for you to choose from. I know you know who they are.

i agree that ideally mods could be very helpful. going to schedule a call w/ my lawyer to see if we can create mod contract.. if this works out i know who i would have in mind for mods=)

Thank you Avery, for your reconsideration. I'm really glad you took the time to read this thread and the other threads in regards to thievery.

Edit: Maybe I'm pushing it, but why am I still seeing darklasers ads?
