I have no idea, I've seen a few members say - "testing with my LPF-project meter" so I was wondering, maybe there is a cheap solution to LPM's.

I don't really have funds and to spend $200Us - $250AU is literally impossible for me..

Any chance you might mean the 'kenometer', the project based on those coherent power sensors?

The Kenometer is not a Project Meter it is shipped already built and calibrated...
and the DIY Project using the Coherent Heads is in the link I supplied above...

I want to buy a laserbee but I don't have that sort of money available.

From us... if you measure under 120-130mW and only Green... Red or IR lasers...
then you can get one of these.... (it is the lowest price LPM we have)

Calibrated Laser Power Meter Sensor Module by J.BAUER Electronics (EBAYHLPM)

The next best DIY LPM would be the DIY LPM project by "nimrod" using the
Coherent Thermopile head... but the heads today are quite expensive ($700.00
to $800.00 new). Some times they come up used on eBay for under $300.00.

Then it is a toss up between the rest of the DIY LPM projects... some good ideas
there but it is always a problem to calibrate your DIY LPM without the proper
equipment...

Other than that... the least expensive good quality LPMs are the LaserBee I or the
Kenometer... sometimes a member sells a used one but they sell fast...

BTW my user name is "lasersbee"... with an "s"....
The LaserBee I LPM is without the "s"....

OK..I gotta ask. WTF is a laserbee..lasersbee? I know its a meter, but what does lasersssssbee mean? Is it just some French Canadian thing...or did it come to you over a bee hive accident?

Almost 2 years ago our new eBay account User Name needed to convey lasers...
At that time our new company's name was to be Bauer Electronic Engineering..
hence the bee.... giving you lasersbee..

We originally had no name for oue 1 Watt LPM... and the members here referred
to it as the LPM from laserbee or the laserbee LPM... all the while forgetting the
"s"..
Since it was already being known labeled that we decided to use that as the LPM
Product name... LaserBee I without the "s"...
The "I" is the roman numeral 1 for 1 Watt...

Life is so simple when it makes sense....:wave:
