Looks pretty real to me, but then again i'm not a subject matter expert when it comes to this sort of thing. Are there anyways to determine if it truly is real? Water mark maybe

Yes, there is a watermark, the one I am looking at right now has the same eagle as on the back of the dollar bill with "1985" stamped under the eagle...but only on the first page.

I looked at only two letters, same watermark.

first off, hes not a very nice person....but i was polite.
i stated my name and he knew who i was.....which i did not like one bit.
anyways after speaking with him....and him making some comments which let me to believe he could get real nasty if i try to make things difficult.

I told him he has my full cooperation, I typed up a letter following the instruction they gave me in the letter i posted, and informed them that upon receipt of their letter i have ceased all sale an/or production of any laser or laser related products.
and if they need any further information from me that they have my full cooperation.

So i am going to stop selling lasers, and "hopefully" uncle sam will show some mercy and not beat me down..

...there are a few people who are going to pm now.....go ahead and pm me so i can put your mind at ease.

Just for a little background

The first product that I applied for and was granted a variance to manufacture a laser product was in 1984. I have... lets say..."many" more certified products (no longer for sale) that met all the criteria of the FDA & NCDRH. I said in the other thread about this subject...it is NOT an easy thing to do, you have to LOVE paperwork and endless bureaucracy to do it correctly...AND LEGALLY. There are no loopholes in the phrase..."entered into commerce" (note first paragraph in his letter) as I mentioned on the other thread. just an fyi.

I just visited your home page to see if you were a psychologist, it didnt look like you are or were or have ever been, but may be you are. They dont need you to "empower them" they can ruin your life just for fun. Joe Schmoe??? dont make me laugh. Yeah let's antagonize the FDA case officer. You have no clue if he comes here as a means of finding those who build laser systems illegally. He probably acts as he does because he has much too many cases on his plate and has better things to do but unfortunately violating Title 21 is against the law and must be investigated as such. But since this is a case of illegal manufacture it doesn't matter if the company makes 10 or 10,000 units. Willful violation of federal law is somewhat frowned upon by the government. Now is the time to minimize the impact because if you continue to "help" Mohrenberg you might be helping him into hefty fines which is a definite possibility. This violation is serious as a heart attack. It's not some kind of traffic violation.

From the looks of things you are instructing the OP on how you would want things to be written to YOU. How do you know that would be satisfactory if there is a CASE open on him? Isnt that more like pleading to be let go?

I gave you my background, I told you all what would happen in the last thread about the phone call, I have a file cabinet full of correspondence with the NCDRH of over 25 years, I told you about the watermark, I suggested a letter to clear it up, he called instead and basically said the same thing and is in the clear...(mark my words........FOR NOW......) It is far from over, not because I want it not to be over, but, because it isnt over (mark my words again) I will spend no more of my time trying to educate YOU, you will have to be the one to learn the hard way. My "first" product was APPROVED in 1984, I know how things need to be done...... A Spy????? Laughable!!!

At some point I do tend to ignore trolls, but not first without trying to educate, with the little areas of expertise I still can remember.

If mohenberg reads this...A question for you...Was there a watermark as I described on the first page? Just curious.

there were no water marks just a logo on the top left of the page, nor was it sent registered mail....came regular USPS mail.

but i did call dan hewitt, so i know the letter was real.....i'm done questioning that...
and yes, i removed the site.....didn't jsut take it down, i deleted it, long with the mysql databases....i'm done selling lasers, period.

i may in the future sell that host i was in the middle of designing....but the host only... just the host and a button inside it...if anyone wanted to use them...but that for another thread...

now i'm basicly trying to get out of this with minimal damage to my life lol
