The originals were supposedly from some unheard of company named Nuvoton but now they're being marketed as Panasonic who also isn't really known for laser diodes..... The one I tested was an early to market "Nuvoton" version and it outperformed way more than I could ever have imagined. I later got some of the "Panasonic" versions and they didn't perform nearly as well.
 
Has anyone tried the 585nm laser pointers from eBay? Are they actually around 580-589nm, or are they rebranded 573nm at a much higher price?
I'm looking for any information about them, but so far I can't find anything.

That's true. His Valkyrie 584 and 604 look divine, but I can't afford them with my current salary.
The offers from China don't look bad considering their prices and power output, but their promises don't always match reality, and this one seems suspicious to me.
The seller claims it's a pure, lighter yellow, but I thought the 585nm was more of a yellow with a slight orange tint
