Just curious, I noticed the wrapped presents, is there going to be a w40 and a w50 this year? I love my w30, and would jump at the chance for a newer, brighter, stronger version?

If the beam could be made to do both a beam and flood with a brightness control as one of the other posters mentioned, I think that would be a awesome build... Anyways my two-cents worth....

Looking forward to see what’s up AceBeam’s sleeve? Awesome work on the w30, enjoy mine immensely! BobMc

I cant tell you how much I love my 2 Acebeams! if I have to be honest, their are sooooo many cheap Flashlights coming out of China, its good to see a Chinese flashlight company that takes huge pride in making Quality products. keep up the great work!

Thanks for your support to ACEBEAM. W40 and W50 are with different specs to meet the different using requirements.
Thanks for your suggestions, it will be taken into consideration.

If the beam could be made to do both a beam and flood with a brightness control
I would think it is difficult to vary laser output.
The white diffuser that shipped with my W30 last week is awesome for flood. Bit of a pita to screw and unscrew diffuser but the light has a second use now.
I am guessing the W40/50 will use 2, 3 or 4 blue lasers and 2 or 3 x 21700/18650 cells increasing the size and length of the torch.
With more than one laser it is possible that the light could have as many settings as lasers. They could possible even fit one laser at different angle to create a flood effect which when selected cuts power to the long pointers.
Im just guessing now. :)
Looking forward to seeing it unvelied!

Hi, and I hope all things are well with you... I have a laser unit built by a gentleman named Trinh that has a zoom function on it, it has two lens that slide away and towards each other, quite a unique design..Quite simple and very functional..It goes from a large flood to a tight beam quite quickly and smoothly...I promised him I would do a review on it but have been such a flake lately... Still hoping to get the time to do one for the gentleman, for he did such an awesome job it is worth noticing... Something like he built with a potentiometer would be just awesome. I have thought about contacting Trinh to see if he would be willing to built another with that function.. Blessings and I too am looking forward to seeing what’s coming down the pipe as they say,

I predict an increasing flood of LEP Torch's....in the near future !!! Output selectable, Focus adjustable. 1K ~5K Lumen. !!!

But....with many manufactures , we will have; Price competition, Economies of Scale in play, more features, more L output...and of course. knock-off cheap crap !!! Buyer Beware !!!

The Jetbeam MiX WP-RX is now out there....as is some supply of Acebeam W30 on Ebay...I for one will NOT be a " First Adopter "....Not this time !!!
I await lower prices, More raw power....and a Focus adjustable beam !!!

For us who value a " Thrower " Torch.....very good times ahead !! Pass the popcorn !!!

Added note: Yes...I now see the W40 and W50 yet to be available products....HMMMM....Well...we know Acebeam has great quality.....mmmm ???
W50 @ 6KM....6 clicks throw ???...6KM = 3.73 miles. throw....hmm ??? Could be a bit pricey though !!! HAHAHAHAHA...Ya Think !!!!!:(:(

W4 or W5....over 1K Lumen ????? .....What I want to know....How are you handling the Heat based decomposition/failure of the Phos component ?????????????...Heat pipes ?? Active fan cooling ?? Massive Ally heat sink ?? NTC sensor Feedback circuitry. Do not force to make my own !!!!!
Nubm044 LD coupled with a Laptop cooling unit for the Phos Heat sink ???? " Lite'em UP " !!! We know that you are working on this !!! MMMMM...Hey...Hurry Up !!! HAHAHAHAHA !!! CDBeam

HHHmmmmm ??? Not difficult to modulate LD output...just a few more $$.. I predict it is difficult to NOT get a new product to market ASAP to get the jump on your competition....in a very competitive market.

SO...ya "hook the fish" with the intro product....stop production on this intro product-W10 and W30 ( Which they did I believe !!)....Then....ya blast the market with a new and improved model....MMMM...It is what I would do !!!!!! HAHAHAHA !!

Notice how Acebeam is very silent......they got some'tin up their sleeve....But...alas....as soon as they ship it....it will be reverse engineered !!!! So it goes !!!....SO....when Acebeam reads this post....HAHAHAHAHA...They might get a :( look !!!....Sometimes...I can be such a SH!T STIRRER !!!!....But then....I am bored !!! :devilish::devilish:
