Most of them outside of London are being repurposed now though - There's one in Bath that was painted ambulance yellow and had a defibrillator inside it.

Yes, back to pack. I’m surprised to see phone boths at all and wondering if they even work.

Most of them no longer have connected phones in them. Some have been converted to charging stations for people to plug their mobile phones into, others have information/noticeboards inside. The main reason the red ones still exist is for the tourists - but many have been converted into ad-space or for other things.

If I am ever in London I think I will ride the Chunnel train to Paris, it takes about 3 hours which I would enjoy, big train fan here and you get to see 2 cities.

I am finding it's a 300 mile trip and takes 2 hours and 15 minutes or there about, apparently it's not all at high speed.

It takes 3 hrs roughly depending on conditions from st Pancras to Paris by Eurostar. The tunnel is the slowest part of the journey due to speed restrictions but not that long.

Edit: The newer trains can do the whole journey in 2hr 15. I think it was around 2hr 45 to get to Euro Disney before IIRC.
