Nice, glad you finally got yours. :)
I am thinking of making a slideshow out of 488nm pics, what do you think?

oh wow those are stunning! I like them :) +rep
I actually thing im still dreaming because I remember last year when I saw a post of the "Cyan Heart" and how much that little Osram diode cost, $1500. and now we have them for over 18 times cheaper

I ran my 488nm laser through a similar grating and got that same output. It is actually two crossed gratings that can be rotated against each other.

hey paul,
do you have any pictures of your 477nm 501b? I imagine 477nm looks pretty in person also :)

Yeah, seems like I did a review of it sometime ago. Can't remember when it was, but there are some beam shots too. It is a light blue, but not quite as light as my 488nm laser.

I found this thread, Paul, it has your 477nm in it, not sure if it's the one you were speaking of.

Yeah, that's the one. Thanks, Jeff. I remember now. I reviewed both my 477nm and my 502nm lasers together in this one thread. The one beam shot that made the dot look like it was blue/green was my camera and not the way the beam looked like at all. The other beam shots were close to the color.

oh yeah now I remember this one. lol! very nice indeed. I really like those 501 hosts when they extended heatsinks

I'll swoop in for a few pics too

Sadly, 480nm is a color that's hard to represent on a screen. It's one of those colors that just "POP"s in person.
+rep for you Z :)

as I was telling jeff, now I remember that post. I really like those 501s when they have extended sinks, especially those two in your post.

Thanks, Richie. I used them as good inexpensive host with enough heat sinking to keep the wavelength fairly stable.

Pretty cool, are these 480, 485 and 495nm?

They look like 477nm, 488nm and 495nm, to me. But the camera and my monitor are not to be trusted. Though Zach is pretty good at showing these wavelengths as close as possible.

BTW, Zach. My drivers are scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

Okay so I got the Pocket in the mail yesterday and I was almost in shock mostly because I’ve never in my life seen this wavelength. This thing is absolutely beautiful! Podo does such fantastic work.

Order date was 4-4-18
Ship date was 4-16-18
Arrived date 4-25-18
9 days to arrive from ship date. That’s really quick!

This isn’t a review since a lot of detail was left out, this was simply a thread on yet another very happy Sanwu customer :)
I haven’t gotten a chance to meter it but I’m sure it’s right where it needs to be. It’s so hard to believe that this wavelength just 2 years ago was over $1500 for the Diode alone. Sharp has really been puting some incredible products out lately and who knows, maybe sometime in the near future we’ll see a “Sharp” brand 30-50mw DD 589nm  we can sure dream.

When I get some more time I’ll post a bit more, this is all I have time for. Thanks for looking everyone.

Special thanks to Podo :)

Awesome... Well, now I want some lasers from Sanwu... Will think about it. Thanks for sharing.

Yup! 480 (the only one that hit 480nm!), 485nm, and 495nm.

The 495 (to me) is green in person. I'm thinking I got lucky and got a very high WL diode. Lucky that I can buy more iterations of these diodes for my collection

That's also great news! I can't wait to have one of these new diodes in my hands. Thanks for letting me know!
