LOL Jerry, yes they're huge, I know...

There for people that use/like/need large print bibles. :D

Then the divergence on this lab unit could be 1.2mrd.
I'm never impressed with this kind of ubiquitous beam shot. But in this case these photos are an exception.

Do the long distance shots with the handheld.

Hi Steve, it's this one the mgl-f-532 2500mw's

High Stability 532nm Laser | CNIlaser

I'll see if I can grab some long distance shot with my handhelds, but it may be a while though. :)

No... Seriously...
I don't see any pics or links or attachments
of any kind.

Jerry

Checked my iPhone and computer, and the pictures are coming up on both. Sorry there not coming up for you. Got no idea why? :(

:)

Going to try and get some more tonight, maybe with my tri-beam Red Guardian, and my dual green. Starting to get this picture taken stuff. Still got a long way to go but I keep trying different setting.

Edit; kinda like to compare the two green beams. The 2.6 watt 532 and my 2.8 watt 520nm dual. Think it would be a nice comparison.

Hi Bob, this is the one I have - http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/goldenstar-laser-1-5w-532nm-lab-laser-90051.html. I'll bet it's been close to a year since I've fired her up.
I need to get it outside and get some real beam shots though.

Nice looking unit Bowtie, really clear photographs. I agree time to break that puppie out give her some life and grab some more beam shots ( outside when safe, know that can take some time) love the comparison pics with your pl-e 500. I've got a dual green 520 2.8 watt I'm going to try to get some comparison pics when I can.

There's differently something nicer about their beams verses the handhelds. Enjoy!

Divergence of <1.2 mrd.
For long distance shots try clouds. I wonder if you could see a spot on cirrus clouds?
Do you have a beam expander for the lab laser?

That an interesting idea, I've got a few different types. Might have to get an adapter made (shouldn't be to hard Lifetime's a really good machinist)

One more project. :)

I just looked at this thread's OP and the pics
were there to see.
I logged on and the pics are missing yet they
seem to take up empty space..
First time this has happened..
I'll check it again tomorrow after a Full Virus
Scan of the computer.

Nice and bright Beam shots of the 532..

Wow that's bright... that thing needs to be pointed into some scanners. Imagine a 2.5 watt liquid sky

:thanks: 10fenny; Glad you enjoyed the pics. Liquid sky at 2.6 would be interesting. :)

Holy crap Bob, leave it to you for something of this brightness :D Really looking forward to the tri-beam shots you were talking about if you go through with it.

Thanks EP, but just bought everything back in, it was to busy tonight. Maybe tomorrow, I'll try again.

@Lasersbee, glad you could see them, hope you figure out what went wrong. Best wishes.

Did a full scan of the computer last night
and this morning after a re-boot your pics
are there.. Seems something was eating
some of my bandwidth and wasn't letting
me downloading your pics fast enough to
see them on screen.

Glad it wasn't anything serious. Technology is great when it's works right. When not, can be a major pain.

Beautiful beams you got there. Pretty amazing how good the divergence of a high power 532 can be, especially with a TEM00 unit. Should makes it appear far brighter than an equivalent 520. Very interested in seeing it next to your dual 520. Also great to have an unlimited duty cycle. My 1w 520 can only be on for 30 seconds or so.
