Re: Can you guys please stop recommending Sci-Fi Lasers?

At the end of the day there is friendship, and then there's business.

I think everyone here is trying to be a friends in their own way. To the forum, to SciFI, and to potential buyers and new members.

Scifi is not out to scam anyone. That much is clear.

There are also serious and valid concerns from the number of complaints that have popped up.

Nor can a business satisfy 100% of it's customers.

All of that said, Scifi should be treated as any other company here, without bias, and based on merit.

If someone chooses to place an order they should take measures to protect themselves, and to file disputes if needed, if delivery terms are not met. Scifi, Jetlasers, Sky, CNI, whatever. They are businesses and it is business. It is not wrong to file a dispute or do a chargeback if you're not getting what you were promised.

If a business chooses to accept an order, it should provide clear expectations on delivery, clear terms, and meet said terms, or not accept the order in the first place. That may mean asking people to pay way more for shipping. Even if it also means fewer orders.

This is well said and this is what needs to happen more instead of bashing people and companies in a open forum format. If you have issues with something yes it should be discussed like rational people but bashing a company, person, should not be done openly

Given what Joker has written to his customer, I disagree. He is very much due some harsh negative public feedback for threatening, and for failing to deliver on his promises.

I still don't think he's out to scam people, but recommending him would be a mistake at this point. I'm very mad about what he wrote here: http://pastebin.com/BduHKSsN

This was a general comment about all companies not just joker. Bad reviews and constructive criticism I think is fine in a open forum but coming right out and bashing I dont think needs to happen in a open forum just my thoughts

Completely agree there. Just bashing, bullying, threatening, coercion through position of authority. Those have no place anywhere.

Constructive criticism, and and genuine feedback, that's always welcome I think. Or it should be.

At any given time there's 250 members online here and 15000 visitors.

Who do you think is placing the most orders with scamfi?

If members are getting the run around then.........

Why do you think it's often difficult to reach him by email? Could it be packed full of non members with a problem?

Maybe non members get strung along just to finally get a threat, they are attempting to order an item that the FDA says is illegal to import.

A real Joker could have a scare pitch all ready and rehearsed threatening to report them to their government.

No, Eithan wouldn't do that....would he?

I know he used to be a good member, but maybe now he's on the dope?

Face it, 250 members online and 15000 visitors, what's the chance non members are not getting screwed? 60 to 1 is the basic math here.

I see trouble ahead, and I can just hear him saying " But if you pull my ad, I won't be able to fill all these orders. "

LPF needs a big disclaimer at the bottom of that ad, before you have a big problem, because anyone can get sued for anything, but a disclaimer would afford you some protection.

As long as he pays for ads here he is safe to continue his business. His behavior is shit and word is not trustworthy but he will remain here as a seller until he stops paying for ads.

Money runs this forum and as long as you pay you are safe.

with so many shipping problems imo its wrong to have a banner until fixed it should be taken down..

The problem is he paid for his banner it is hard for the admin to take it down. Also his sticky.

Who cares if it paid for in my opinion? Take it down! Nobody wants to support a company which posts people's private information for the world to see!

Unfortunately that can't be done. The advertising is bought and paid for.

Besides it would make LPF no better if that was done.

On the other hand no advertiser has chosen to remain once the forum at large turned on them. Banner does no good when every post is met with derision.

Got it!

I really wish I could remove the positive reputation I gave him. I don't in any way support people who do that kind of thing. Can anyone give him some on my behalf?

See my legal post, if you remove his banner that would be a similar situation, breach of contract> claim damages for financial loss.

Even tho I had a great communication with Eitan, instant really, I did receive a fake tracking number and a 2 month wait.
